Carrie Ann Inaba is missing the season 34 premiere of Dancing with the Stars<\/p>\n

The judge revealed the reason for her absence in an Instagram post hours before the ABC dance competition\u2019s premiere on Tuesday, Sept. 16<\/p>\n

Inaba has served as a judge since the show premiered in 2005<\/p>\n

Carrie Ann Inaba won\u2019t be in the ballroom for the season 34 premiere of Dancing with the Stars.
\nIn an Instagram post hours before the ABC dance competition\u2019s premiere on Tuesday, Sept. 16, the judge, 57, revealed that she won’t be in attendance for the show’s taping.
\n\u201cI wanted to share that I will not be at the show tonight as I am feeling quite under the weather. I\u2019m resting up and can\u2019t wait to be back next week in good health,” she wrote.
\n\u201cIn the meantime, I wish all the contestants the very best of luck. I\u2019ll be cheering you on from home. \ud83e\udd0d\ud83d\ude4f\u201d she continued. \u201cHave a great show everyone! \ud83e\udea9\ud83d\udc83\ud83c\udffb\ud83d\udd7a\ud83c\udffb\u2b50\ufe0f\u201d<\/p>\n

PEOPLE has learned there will be no replacement for Inaba on tonight\u2019s show and she is expected to return next week.

Inaba received well wishes from her Dancing with the Stars castmates following the announcement.

\nIn addition to Baldwin and her dance partner Gleb Savchenko, wildlife conservationist Robert Irwin and Witney Carson, Olympic gymnast and gold medalist Jordan Chiles and partner Ezra Sosa, The Traitors and social media star Dylan Efron and pro Daniella Karagach, Boy Meets World alum Danielle Fishel and Pasha Pashkov, and Pentatonix singer Scott Hoying and Rylee Arnold will be facing off in the ballroom.
\nAlso competing on season 34 is The Parent Trap actress Elaine Hendrix with Alan Bersten, NBA All-Star Baron Davis with partner Stewart, actor and musician Corey Feldman with pro Johnson, Fifth Harmony singer Lauren Jauregui with partner Brandon Armstrong, and comedian Andy Richter with pro Emma Slater.
\nRounding out the cast are social media star Alix Earle with pro Val Chmerkovskiy, and The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’ Jen Affleck and Whitney Leavitt with DWTS’ newest pro Jan Ravnik and Mark Ballas, respectively.
\nInaba has been a judge on the show since its premiere in 2005. She celebrated her 20th anniversary of her time on the series in an emotional Instagram post in June.
\n\u201c20 years ago today, I sat down for the first time with two men I had never met before,\u201d she said.\u201cLen Goodman and @brunotonioliofficial. My life was forever changed.\u2728\ud83d\ude4f,\u201d she shared of Bruno Tonioli and Len Goodman, who died in August 2023.
\n\u201cIt\u2019s been an incredible journey of self discovery and a wonderful experience witnessing the unique intersection of dance and human nature, competition and shared experience, artistry and vulnerability,\u201d she added. \u201cThere has been nothing like it in my life.\u201d
