Tom Cruise pulled off an epic Hollywood stunt to help close out the 2024 Paris Olympics on Sunday and officially hand the torch off to Los Angeles, which is set to host the 2028 summer games.<\/p>\n

The \u201cMission: Impossible\u201d star jumped from the top of Stade de France and landed on the stadium field where the official Olympic flag awaited him.<\/p>\n

He took the flag from LA Mayor Karen Bass and gold medalist Simone Biles before riding off on a motorcycle through the streets of Paris and boarding a plane near the Eiffel Tower.<\/p>\n

A dramatic pre-recorded video then showed the actor \u2014 who is known for doing his own stunts in his action-packed films \u2014 flying the coveted flag to the US and skydiving to the famed Hollywood sign in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n

He then attached the five multicolored Olympic rings to the two Os in \u201cHollywood.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThank you, Paris! Now off to LA,\u201d the star\u00a0posted on X<\/a>.<\/p>\n

TMZ reported<\/a>\u00a0earlier this month that Cruise, 62, approached the International Olympic Committee about being involved in the closing ceremony.<\/p>\n

In paparazzi photos and video obtained by TMZ, he could be seen filming part of his grand Olympics stunt video in March in LA \u2014 but no one knew what it was for at the time.<\/p>\n

The Oscar nominated actor is a longtime fan of the Olympics and even carried the torch in Los Angeles in 2004 to contribute to a ceremonial relay across the world that ended in Athens, Greece, ahead of the official opening of the games.<\/p>\n

This year, he was photographed cheering Team USA on at the women\u2019s gymnastics qualifiers on July 28.<\/p>\n
