Charlie Kirk\u2019s widow has revealed how she explained his death to their young daughter.<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Wednesday (September 10), the right-wing<\/a> activist and conservative commentator was shot and killed<\/a>, while speaking at an event at Utah<\/a> Valley University.<\/p>\n

It was believed the gunman<\/a> acted alone and shot Kirk with a single bullet from a bolt action rifle while positioned on a nearby campus rooftop.<\/p>\n

Two days later, the FBI confirmed officers had detained their leading suspect, identified as 22-year-old Tyler Robinson<\/a>, from Utah.<\/p>\n

The 31-year-old is survived by his wife, Erika Kirk, and their two young children, a son who turned one in May and a daughter who turned three in August.<\/p>\n

Following the arrest, the evangelical Christian<\/a> broke her silence on the tragedy that has fallen on her family, speaking behind a podium on a live stream<\/a> from her husband’s podcast room on Friday (September12).<\/p>\n

The 36-year-old mom<\/a> heartbreakingly revealed how she had to break the news to her daughter.<\/p>\n

“When I got home last night Gigi, our daughter, just ran into my arms and I talked to her and she said, \u2018Mommy i miss you\u2019 and I said ‘I miss you too, baby’, and she goes, \u2018Where\u2019s daddy?\u2019<\/p>\n

“How do you tell a three-year-old? She\u2019s three.”<\/p>\n

Erika continued: “And I said, \u2018Daddy loves you so much baby, he\u2019s on a work trip with Jesus so he can afford your blueberry budget.'”<\/p>\n

The former Miss Arizona<\/a> USA star also took the chance to thank first responders, Kirk’s staff and the White House for their response to the assassination, tipping her hat especially to President Donald Trump<\/a> whom she said her husband ‘loved’ and ‘knew that you [Trump] loved him too.’<\/p>\n

Although she didn’t specifically name the alleged gunman in her speech, she did address the ‘evil-doers responsible’ for the crime<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“You have no idea the fire that you have ignited within this wife, the cries of this widow will echo around the world like a battle cry,” she said.<\/p>\n

“They should all know this: if you thought that my husband’s mission was powerful before you have no idea, you have no idea what you just have unleashed across this entire country and this world.”<\/p>\n

Kirk died after sustaining a single gunshot wound to the neck during the college event for the first stop of his ‘American Comeback Tour’, as part of his conservative youth activist organization and nonprofit, Turning Point USA.<\/p>\n

Erika, who tied the knot with the media personality in 2021, has since vowed to keep her husband’s mission alive in his memory by continuing his work on his campus tour, radio show and podcast<\/a>.<\/p>\n

She also said Kirk loved America, nature, the Chicago Cubs baseball team and above all, his family.<\/p>\n

\u201cMost of all Charlie loved his children and he loved me with all of his heart and I knew that everyday. He made sure I knew that everyday,\u201d Erika continued. \u201cEveryday he would ask me, \u2018How can I serve you better? How can I be a better husband? How can I be a better father?'”<\/p>\n

\u201cI know my husband is still here. He\u2019s watching over us,” she said before thanking him directly as a ‘good and faithful servant.’<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
