Tyler Robinson<\/a>\u00a0may have revealed details about his evil\u00a0slaying of conservative influencer<\/a>\u00a0Charlie Kirk to his roommate \u2014 sending app messages including about the \u201cneed to retrieve a rifle from a drop point,\u201d according to court papers.<\/p>\n

Officials said the roommate showed them the messages from a contact he had named \u201cTyler\u201d \u2014 and that some of them also described engravings on bullet casings.<\/p>\n

Robinson, 22,<\/a>\u00a0is accused of engraving the casing of the bullet he used to kill Kirk \u2014 and three other casings \u2014 with messages such as, \u201dHey fascist! catch!\u201d<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span>When investigators contacted the roommate,\u00a0he said Robinson<\/a>\u00a0\u201cmade a joke on Discord,\u201d a social messaging app, which caused law enforcement to ask him to show them the messages, according to an arrest affidavit.<\/p>\n

The messages from \u201cTyler\u201d stated a \u201cneed to retrieve a rifle from a drop point, leaving the rifle in a bush, messages related to visually watching the area where a rifle was left and a message referring to having left the rifle wrapped in a towel,\u201d the affidavit shows.<\/p>\n

Other messages \u201calso refer to engraving bullets\u201d and how the rifle was \u201cunique,\u201d according to law enforcement.<\/p>\n

\u201cMessages from contact Tyler also mention that he had changed outfits,\u201d the affidavit states.<\/p>\n

After the shooting,\u00a0the suspect\u00a0<\/a>was spotted on surveillance footage fleeing the roof where he allegedly fired the fatal shot at Kirk.<\/p>\n

Authorities later recovered a bolt action rifle wrapped in a dark colored towel in a wooded area near campus, according to law enforcement.<\/p>\n

The communications with the roommate are part of the evidence gathered by police that helped pave the way to an\u00a0aggravated murder charge<\/a>\u00a0against Robinson on Friday after his capture the evening before.<\/p>\n

But Discord is disputing the information that the officials were pushing out Friday, claiming its investigation showed while Robinson had a Discord account, there\u2019s \u201cno evidence that the suspect planned this incident or promoted violence on Discord,\u201d according to reports.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe messages referenced in recent reporting about planning details do not appear to be Discord messages,\u201d the company said. \u201cThese were communications between the suspect\u2019s roommate and a friend after the shooting, where the roommate was recounting the contents of a note the suspect had left elsewhere.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have removed the suspect\u2019s account for violating our off-platform behavior policy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Robinson turned himself in after his own father confronted him about the shooting and after getting in touch with a youth minister, according to law enforcement.<\/p>\n

Utah Gov. Spencer Cox said during a press conference Friday the arrest helped \u201cbring closure to this very dark chapter in our nation\u2019s history.\u201d<\/p>\n
