President Donald Trump\u00a0announced the news of Charlie\u2019s death on Truth Social.<\/p>\n

The political activist, who co-founded the organization Turning Point USA in 2012, was a husband and father to two children. He married former Miss Arizona USA Erika Frantzve in May 2021, and the couple welcomed a daughter in August 2022 and a son in May 2024.<\/p>\n

Charlie met Erika in 2018 and then had a \u201cvery, very long dinner\u201d where he knew \u201calmost immediately\u201d that she was \u201cthe one,\u201d as he recalled in a 2024\u00a0Turning Point USA video.<\/p>\n

In September 2023, Erika reflected on their first date and\u00a0posted selfies\u00a0of them hugging.<\/p>\n

Charlie and Erika got engaged in December 2020. She shared the news by posting a\u00a0photo\u00a0of her hugging him while he was down on one knee.<\/p>\n

Less than one year later, the couple married in Scottsdale, Ariz., on May 8, 2021. Both Erika and Charlie\u00a0shared photos\u00a0from the wedding.<\/p>\n

In February 2024, Erika wrote in an\u00a0Instagram post\u00a0that the nuptials were \u201cvery intimate\u201d with no bridesmaids and groomsmen and only their closest family members by their side.<\/p>\n

Erika, who frequently supported her husband at his events, was crowned Miss Arizona USA in 2012, per her\u00a0biography\u00a0on her website. She often shared photos of her time holding the crown, including\u00a0visiting the Pentagon,\u00a0volunteering\u00a0and\u00a0bonding\u00a0with other pageant contestants.<\/p>\n

She was also a basketball player at Regis University before transferring to Arizona State University, where she received a degree in political science and international relations. Erika went on to obtain her master\u2019s degree and pursue a doctorate degree at the conservative, Christian school, Liberty University.<\/p>\n

Erika frequently worked alongside Charlie and his organization and appeared at various events and interviews with him. She is the host of the\u00a0Midweek Rise Up<\/em>\u00a0podcast, heads the BIBLE365 ministry program and founded the faith-based apparel line, PROCLAIM.<\/p>\n

During their four-year marriage, Erika and Charlie welcomed two children together. They became parents with the birth of their daughter on Aug. 23, 2022. Erika and Charlie announced the news by posting the same\u00a0photo.<\/p>\n

They welcomed their second child, a son, in May 2024. They shared the news by posting a\u00a0photo\u00a0of Charlie holding the newborn in the hospital.<\/p>\n

Just a few weeks before Charlie died, he and Erika celebrated\u00a0their daughter\u2019s 3rd birthday.<\/p>\n
