Comedy Central has pulled a controversial\u00a0\u201cSouth Park\u201d episode that parodied Charlie Kirk<\/a>\u00a0after the conservative activist was gunned down at a Utah college on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

The Paramount Skydance-owned network\u00a0quietly removed the rerun of the episode<\/a>\u00a0\u201cGot a Nut\u201d from its cable lineup Wednesday night, just hours after Kirk, 31,\u00a0was shot and killed<\/a>\u00a0while speaking at Utah Valley University.<\/p>\n

Instead of airing Season 27, Episode 2 \u2014 in which Eric Cartman adopts Kirk\u2019s mannerisms and appearance for a satirical college debate podcast \u2014 Comedy Central slotted in Episode 1 from the same season.<\/p>\n

The network did not issue a public statement but confirmed to industry outlets that the episode was \u201ctemporarily pulled\u201d from its cable rotation.<\/p>\n

It remains available to stream on Paramount+ with a subscription. The Post has sought comment from Paramount Skydance.<\/p>\n

The decision came as MAGA supporters raged online, accusing \u201cSouth Park\u201d creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone of helping fuel the\u00a0hatred that led to Kirk\u2019s assassination.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cComedy has consequences,\u201d one Turning Point USA staffer posted on Telegram. \u201cCharlie was targeted in the culture before he was targeted in real life.\u201d<\/p>\n

The episode originally aired Aug. 6 and immediately drew attention for lampooning Kirk\u2019s college speaking style. The parody climaxed with Cartman receiving the \u201cCharlie Kirk Award for Young Masterdebaters.\u201d<\/p>\n

Days later, Kirk\u00a0himself laughed off the mockery<\/a>. In a TikTok video posted Aug. 7, he called the segment \u201chilarious\u201d and told fans he considered it a \u201cbadge of honor.\u201d<\/p>\n

He also changed his X profile photo to an image of the Cartman caricature wearing Kirk\u2019s signature black T-shirt.<\/p>\n

Kirk told Fox News at the time he had grown up watching \u201cSouth Park\u201d and considered the parody part of being in the public arena.<\/p>\n

But after his death, the satire has become a flashpoint. Influential conservative accounts accused Parker and Stone of \u201cmocking his Christian faith\u201d and called them \u201cmonsters.\u201d<\/p>\n

One post that went viral on X claimed: \u201cThey mocked him on TV, then they killed him in real life.\u201d<\/p>\n

The outrage left Comedy Central caught in the crosshairs.<\/p>\n

Season 27 of \u201cSouth Park\u201d has already generated controversy despite being only four episodes into its run. The next installment is scheduled to air Sept. 17.<\/p>\n

In addition to the Kirk parody, \u201cGot a Nut\u201d featured school counselor Mr. Mackey joining Immigration and Customs Enforcement and staging raids alongside Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem.<\/p>\n

The episode marked the show\u2019s latest foray into lampooning real-life political figures.<\/p>\n

Over its nearly three decades on the air, \u201cSouth Park\u201d has skewered celebrities, presidents, and pop culture icons across the spectrum.<\/p>\n

But this time, the timing has drawn unprecedented backlash.<\/p>\n

Kirk, a staunch Trump ally and founder of the conservative youth group Turning Point USA, was shot once in the neck during his Sept. 10 rally in Orem, Utah.<\/p>\n

About 3,000 people were inside the campus arena, where Kirk was launching his \u201cAmerica Comeback Tour.\u201d<\/p>\n

Utah Valley University police chief Jeff Long said six officers and Kirk\u2019s private security were on hand. \u201cYou try to get your bases covered, and unfortunately, today, we didn\u2019t,\u201d Long said.<\/p>\n

The suspect remains on the run. Authorities have not released a description.<\/p>\n

President Trump confirmed Kirk\u2019s death on Truth Social: \u201cThe Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead.\u201d<\/p>\n

The killing has rattled conservatives already on edge after the 2024 assassination attempt on Trump in Pennsylvania. House Speaker Mike Johnson called Kirk\u2019s death \u201can attack on all of us.\u201d<\/p>\n

But within hours, the focus of MAGA anger shifted toward Comedy Central. A petition demanding the network apologize for airing the parody racked up more than 100,000 signatures in its first day.<\/p>\n

Right-wing radio host Jesse Kelly told his listeners: \u201c\u2019South Park\u2019 thought it was funny to turn Charlie into a cartoon joke. Now his wife is planning a funeral.\u201d<\/p>\n

Parker and Stone have long maintained that no topic is off limits for satire, a stance that has drawn both acclaim and condemnation over the show\u2019s 27 seasons.<\/p>\n

Neither creator has commented publicly since Kirk\u2019s assassination.<\/p>\n
