The husband of the woman caught on camera cuddling her boss at a Coldplay concert<\/a> has broken his silence.<\/p>\n

During the iconic band\u2019s July 16 show at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, the camera landed on two seemingly affectionate concertgoers.<\/p>\n

As they swayed together to the music, frontman Chris Martin<\/a> quipped:\u00a0“Either they’re having an affair, or they’re just very shy.”<\/p>\n

Cabot clutched her hands to her mouth in shock while Byron muttered, \u201cF***ing hell, it\u2019s me,\u201d before the pair awkwardly ducked out of frame.<\/p>\n

The 55,000-strong crowd roared, and soon after, so did the internet.<\/p>\n

Now, the 52-year-old’s husband, New Hampshire businessman Andrew Cabot, has revealed to PEOPLE<\/a> that the couple were already \u201cprivately and amicably separated several weeks before the Coldplay concert.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cTheir decision to divorce was already underway prior to that evening,” Andrew\u2019s spokesperson confirmed.<\/p>\n

“Now that the divorce filing is public, Andrew hopes this provides respectful closure to speculation and allows his family the privacy they’ve always valued.\u201d<\/p>\n

Andrew is the CEO of Privateer Rum and heir to a Boston Brahmin family fortune reportedly worth $15 billion.<\/p>\n

He had been on a business trip in Japan when the footage exploded online.<\/p>\n

He returned to find media outside the $2.2 million Rye, New Hampshire home he once shared with Kristin and his two children from a previous marriage.<\/p>\n

According to Daily Mail<\/a>, Kristin filed for divorce on August 13, less than a month after her affair with her boss was exposed.<\/p>\n

Court documents show that the former couple had reportedly tried mediation before deciding to formally split.<\/p>\n

The timing of the viral clip has raised eyebrows among those close to the family as a source close to the Cabots noted that they are “now saying they have been having marriage troubles for several months and were discussing separating, which I find interesting since, as of a month ago, they were saying how in love they are”.<\/p>\n

It was also stated that back in May, Kristin was photographed wearing a large wedding ring while posing with Andrew and his children.<\/p>\n

However, Andrew\u2019s ex-wife, Julia, said he had already confirmed the separation when she texted him the night the video went viral. \u201cHe said, \u2018Her life is nothing to do with me.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

The fallout has also rocked Astronomer<\/a>, the $1.3 billion AI startup where Cabot served as Chief People Officer and Byron was CEO.<\/p>\n

Both resigned days after the incident, which the company confirmed amid an internal investigation.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur leaders are expected to set the standard\u2026 and recently, that standard was not met,\u201d a spokesperson said.<\/p>\n

Byron, believed to have had share options worth up to 5% of the firm, has not commented publicly.<\/p>\n

His wife, Megan Kerrigan Byron, removed his surname from her Facebook profile and later deleted her social media entirely.<\/p>\n

The couple shares two children.<\/p>\n

In a surprising pivot, Astronomer launched a satirical PR campaign featuring Gwyneth Paltrow<\/a>, Chris Martin\u2019s ex-wife, as a temporary spokesperson.<\/p>\n

In a tongue-in-cheek video, Paltrow addressed the bizarre saga: \u201cYes, Astronomer is the best place to run Apache Airflow\u2026 We\u2019ve been thrilled so many people have a newfound interest in data workflow automation.\u201d<\/p>\n

The internet applauded the move. \u201cSome of the best crisis management I\u2019ve ever seen,\u201d one user wrote. Another called it \u201ca case study in MBA programs for years to come.\u201d<\/p>\n

Interim CEO Pete DeJoy echoed that sentiment<\/a>, calling the media attention \u201cunusual and surreal,\u201d but noting that \u201cAstronomer is now a household name.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kristin and Byron have yet to speak publicly about the nature of their relationship – or the kiss that made them famous.<\/p>\n
