For his first game of the NFL season,\u00a0Chicago Bears<\/a>\u00a0quarterback\u00a0Caleb Williams<\/a>\u00a0wanted to send a message to the millions of people who would be watching the Monday Night Football game this week.<\/p>\n

Since college, fans have known that Williams is a man who likes to paint his fingernails. He does so unapologetically.<\/p>\n

The former USC quarterback\u00a0explained last year that he loves to go to the nail salon<\/a>\u00a0because it\u2019s peaceful and he can throw on some headphones and watch a movie.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd then, I\u2019m comfortable in my own skin. I know who and what I am and who I like and what I like and how I go about that,\u201d he said at the time.<\/p>\n

On Monday, the Chicago Bears\u2019 star quarterback had his fingernails painted, but this time, he had a message to send.<\/p>\n

Williams\u2019 nails were painted with the suicide prevention logo and colors on his throwing hand. His left hand displayed the numbers \u201c988,\u201d which is the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.<\/p>\n
