Tom Holland has shared a cryptic response about his future as Spider-Man.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The actor, 29, has been playing the iconic character for eight years across three Spider-Man<\/em><\/a> movies – and six MCU movies<\/a> in total – with the fourth set to be released in July 2026.<\/p>\n

Now, Holland<\/a> has opened up about the future of his character and how long he might play the role for.<\/p>\n

When asked if he had considered how long he could continue as Spider-Man, Holland<\/a> told UNILAD: \u201cIt’s all about what’s in front of you, and right now what’s in front of us is Spider-Man: Brand New Day<\/em>, and focusing on making that movie worthy of the last movie.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt’s been a really interesting task getting to set and figuring out the story, and I have been actively sifting through the internet and trying to best understand what it is that the fans want from a Spider-Man<\/em> movie, and that’s been my driving force in these pitch meetings.”<\/p>\n

Holland added that he didn’t ‘know what the future looks like’ and doesn’t ‘know the answers’ to what could lie ahead.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd I think the producers, at times were like, absolutely sick of me, but I think it’s really important, because, you know, we make these movies for them, and I don’t know what the future of it looks like,” he continued.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll I know is that right now, what we have and what we’re working on is very bright, and I think it’s going to be really fantastic. And it feels very different, fresh, profound and new, yeah, but in terms of, like, my future in the character beyond this film, I don’t know the answers to that question.\u201d<\/p>\n

When asked if he could describe his ultimate role, he added: \u201cAs an actor, you know, I’m just blessed to be doing what I’m doing.<\/p>\n

“Yeah, I’m not trying to be greedy in any way. I just walked on set yesterday for Spider-Man<\/em> four, Spider Man: Brand New Day<\/em>, as I should be saying, I just am loving it, and I’m lucky, and I don’t want to ever be too greedy.”<\/p>\n

The fourth Spider-Man movie is out next year (Disney)<\/cite><\/div>\n

As well as filming for the fourth movie, Holland also has a wedding to plan, after getting engaged to fianc\u00e9e Zendaya earlier this year.<\/p>\n

Holland and Zendaya met on the set of Spider-Man: Homecoming<\/em> in 2016, with rumours circulating that they were dating the following year.<\/p>\n

In January, Zendaya was spotted with a diamond engagement ring at the 82nd Golden Globes.<\/p>\n

Holland’s dad, Dominic Holland, later spoke about the couple’s engagement in a Patreon blog post<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“The big news this week is a good example of just such an opportunity for me\u2014are they\/aren\u2019t they engaged?” he wrote.<\/p>\n

“Zendaya wearing a ring and Tom nowhere to be seen, adding to the intrigue.<\/p>\n

“Tom, as you know by now was very incredibly well prepared. He had purchased a ring. He had spoken with her father and gained permission to propose to his daughter. Tom had everything planned out\u2026 When, where, how, what to say, what to wear.”<\/p>\n

Dominic added: “…Even though show-business is a messy place for relationships and particularly so for famous couples as they crash and burn in public and are too numerous to mention\u2026I am completely confident they will make a successful union.”<\/p>\n
