Kayla Nicole is defending her right to \u201crehash bulls\u2013t\u201d after facing continuous backlash for publicly discussing her romantic past with ex Travis Kelce.<\/p>\n

The sports journalist, 33, hit back at critics once again during\u00a0a recent episode of her \u201cThe Pre-Game\u201d podcast<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor me, I don\u2019t fear necessarily being canceled because I don\u2019t think people hold that power,\u201d Nicole explained to special guest Heather Sanders in the episode that dropped last Friday.<\/p>\n

She addressed the backlash on last Friday\u2019s episode of her \u201cThe Pre-Game\u201d podcast.welcometothepregame\/Instagram<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span>Nicole said that she believes God has a plan for her and that haters \u201ccan\u2019t change the trajectory\u201d of her life \u2014 despite what they think of her.<\/p>\n

\u201cHowever, I\u2019m sensitive. I am triggered,\u201d she admitted. \u201cI want to clear my name. I want to address it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Without referencing any particular controversy she was involved in, Nicole said that she \u201cnever did\u201d address it and \u201cchickened out\u201d in the hopes that it would \u201cjust blow over.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nicole then went on to say that when she does address things, people think she is doing it for attention instead of just discussing her experiences.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s my fear, too, is when I address things, instead of me talking about lived experience, people think it\u2019s just me constantly trying to rehash bulls\u2013t,\u201d she said. \u201cWhen in reality, I\u2019m just a human who wants to talk about my life.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added, \u201cSue me, sweetie. Jesus.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nicole has defended herself in the past for speaking openly about her former relationship with the Kansas City Chiefs tight end \u2014 whom\u00a0she dated from 2017 to May 2022.<\/a><\/p>\n

Nicole has touched on her past with the football player, 35, in several interviews after\u00a0he started dating Taylor Swift\u00a0<\/a>in the summer of 2023.<\/p>\n

Last year, she even\u00a0shut down rumors<\/a>\u00a0that they broke up over Kelce\u2019s \u201ccheap\u201d tendencies,<\/a>\u00a0admitting on the \u201cUnapologetically Angel\u201d podcast that she would never date someone who splits the bill \u201c50\/50.\u201d<\/p>\n

Shortly after, Nicole\u00a0broke down in tears\u00a0<\/a>after she was dragged by Swifties for spilling the tea on her relationship with Kelce.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span>\u201cAfter the podcast came out, I thought that I handled things with grace,\u201d the model\u00a0said on the \u201cI Am Athlete Daily\u201d<\/a>\u00a0series at the time. \u201cI thought that I answered the questions to the best of my ability. The public had their interpretation of things \u2014 didn\u2019t matter to me.\u201d<\/p>\n

She even shared that her mom was \u201coffended\u201d and \u201churt\u201d by how the public was \u201cperceiving her daughter.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMy mom calls me though \u2014 and it\u2019s those conversations \u2026 that\u2019s what matters to me,\u201d Nicole said.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe\u2019s hurt with the negative headlines and the way that people are spinning it,\u201d Nicole added, noting that her mother advised her not to respond to questions about her ex in the future.<\/p>\n

However, that didn\u2019t stop the model from\u00a0sharing a fiery reaction<\/a>\u00a0just days after Kelce and Swift, 35,\u00a0announced their engagement<\/a>\u00a0on Aug. 26.<\/p>\n
