A Florida man\u2019s last actions before his execution have been revealed.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Cutis Windom had been on Death Row<\/a> at Florida<\/a> State Prison since 1992 after he was convicted<\/a> of three murders and one attempted murder on November 7.<\/p>\n

Windom, 59, had been executed for murdering his on-again-off-again girlfriend, Valerie Davis, her mother, Mary Lubin, and a man who was said to have owed him $2,000, Johnnie Lee.<\/p>\n

He was ultimately put to death via lethal injection, even after his daughter, who he had shared with Davis, pleaded for the execution to be halted.<\/p>\n

Curtis Windom, had campaigned against her father\u2019s execution and made her stance clear to the Orlando Sentinel when she said: \u201cIt hurt. It hurt a lot. Life was not easy growing up.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut if we could forgive him, I don\u2019t see why people on the street who haven\u2019t been through our pain have a right to say he should die<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Curtis Windom was sentenced to death for three murders (WESH)<\/cite><\/div>\n

His daughter delivered a statement via an anti-death penalty group that produced 5,000 petition signatures to the governor to intervene against the execution, said: \u201cForgiveness comes with time, and 33 years is a long time. I, myself, have forgiven my father.\u201d<\/p>\n

Windom is said to have found where Lee was after a friend told him that he had won $114 on a greyhounds\u2019 racetrack bet.<\/p>\n

Windom then told the friend: \u201cYou’re gonna read about me.\u201d<\/p>\n

ABC News reported the court documents as claiming Windom purchased a .38-caliber revolver and 50 shells from Walmart before tracking down Lee to his car and shooting him twice.<\/p>\n

He then shot<\/a> him as he lay on the ground.<\/p>\n

After he had murdered Lee, Windom is said to have driven to Davis\u2019s apartment and shot her too \u2018with no provocation\u2019.<\/p>\n

Whilst on his rampage, he shot and injured another man and ran into Lubin as she drove to her daughter\u2019s said after learning about the shooting.<\/p>\n

He was given the lethal injection (Florida Department of Corrections)<\/cite><\/div>\n

There, he shot her twice as she sat at a stop sign.<\/p>\n

During Windom\u2019s last moments alive, he ate his last meal on Thursday August 28, which consisted of ribs, baked beans, collard greens, potato salad, pie, ice cream, and a soda, as per ABC 13.<\/p>\n

At 6.02pm, Windom was given the lethal injection. He provided his last words; however, they were unintelligible to those in the witness box. He then took several deep breaths, his chest moving and legs twitching before no more movement was seen past 6.08pm.<\/p>\n

He was pronounced dead at 6.17pm, as per the Orlando Sentinel.<\/p>\n

Davis’s sister, Kemene Hunter, said she supports his execution, WFTV reported.<\/p>\n

His execution marked Florida’s 11th person killed on death row and the 30th in the country so far this year.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll I want to say is, it took 33 years to get some closure,\u201d Hunter is reported to have said, adding \u201cVengeance is mine, says the lord.\u201d<\/p>\n

Windom\u2019s lawyers had been trying to prevent the execution for some time, claiming he had mental problems that were not taken into account at his trial.<\/p>\n

Just one day before his death, his final appeal had been rejected by the US Supreme Court.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
