\nTravis Kelce wore a color significant to both his Kansas City Chiefs team and fianc\u00e9e Taylor Swift when he stepped out alongside the pop superstar, 35, for their first public appearance as a newly engaged couple on Thursday, Aug. 28.
\nThe star tight end, also 35, sported head-to-toe red opposite Swift to the Cincinnati Bearcats vs. Nebraska Cornhuskers game at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City. Not only is the hue the same as the Chiefs team color, but it’s the name of the singer’s fourth studio album: Red.
\nSwift has opened up about the color and what it means to her, even singing about it as a metaphor in the album’s title track. “But loving him was red,” she writes, and previously expalined, “The red emotions are the most powerful ones… like affection, infatuation, love and warmth.”
\nFor the outing, Kelce \u2014 who announced his engagement to Swift on Aug. 26 \u2014 wore red and white-striped, long sleeve rugby shirt with a white collar by Nike and Supreme, currently going for approximately $300 on StockX (though, was originally released for $128).
\nAs for his bottoms, the athlete kept it simply athletic by pairing his statement top with a basic pair of black Nike shorts. He topped his look off with a red and white Wisconsin Badger vintage snapback hat.<\/p>\n
The three-time Super Bowl champion completed his outfit with $210 Nike LeBron XXI “Prime 93” basketball shoes with details in red, black and white that complimented his look. He styled them with classic, white Nike socks.<\/p>\n

For Swift’s part, she wore a $9,019 ensemble to the Cincinnati Bearcats game, where the NFL star used to play college football. Her look \u2014 which was already bridal-coded in white \u2014 also appeared to be\u00a0Easter egg-coded\u00a0from top to bottom.
\nNot only did she wear white ahead of the anticipated wedding, but the outfit combination the pop superstar wore is similar to her engagement photo ‘fit shared two days prior on\u00a0Instagram, where she announced her engagement to Kelce with photos from their floral-filled garden proposal.
\nThe 14x-Grammy winner wore a Polo Ralph Lauren Cable-Knit V-Neck Sleeveless Vest currently available for $989 on\u00a0Farfetch. She also wore a Polo Ralph Lauren in her engagement shoot, specifically the Striped Silk-Blend Dress by the brand.
\nSwift styled the cable-knit with a distressed, blue $1,450 pleated mini skirt by\u00a0Balenciaga and $2,680 Louis Vuitton shoes \u2014 called, “The Donna High Boot” \u2014 a subtle nod to her future mother-in-law, Donna Kelce.
\nSwift, who confirmed her romance with Travis in October 2023, accessorized with the $3,900.00 Mini 16 Bag by\u00a0Celine. She rocked the piece in a shade of pastel blue, complimenting her denim skirt in a coordinating hue.
\nThe couple\u00a0announced their engagement\u00a0in a\u00a0joint Instagram post\u00a0on Aug. 26, sharing several photos from their floral-filled garden proposal.

\nThe pair hasn’t spoken out about the proposal since announcing the news, however, friends of the couple have expressed their excitement on social media.
