A lawyer’s line of questioning has raised eyebrows after Cardi B took to the stand earlier this week.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The ‘WAP’ hitmaker has been accused of assault<\/a> and is being sued by Emani Ellis.<\/p>\n

Ellis claims that her face was cut by one of Cardi B’<\/a>s nails and that the rapper spat on her in an altercation dating back to 2018.<\/p>\n

It wasn’t until 2020 that Ellis filed a suit against the mom-of-three<\/a> for assault, battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress<\/a> as well as negligence and false imprisonment.<\/p>\n

A civil trial has since ensued and Cardi \u2014 real name Belcalis Alm\u00e0nzar \u2014 took to the stand on Tuesday (August 26).<\/p>\n

The music<\/a> star has denied assaulting Ellis<\/a> but did admit that she called her a ‘b*tch’ during a verbal altercation.<\/p>\n

Cardi says she called out Ellis for filming her when she was visibly pregnant with her first child at a time when she had not announced that she was expecting. The rapper shares three children with her ex Offset<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Cardi recalled: “I could hear her. She was talking on the phone. She said, \u2018Oh my god, Cardi B is here!\u2019 So I kind of speed walk [away], but I feel her behind me.<\/p>\n

“I turned around and saw she was recording me… so I said ‘aren’t you supposed to be security?’ to which she said ‘oh my bad’, but she kept following me and I’m getting annoyed, like b****, you’re the security guard of the building.”<\/p>\n

In light of Cardi allegedly cutting Ellis’ face with one of her finger nails, she was grilled about her beauty<\/a> regime while on the stand, including about her hair.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, the ‘Bodak Yellow’ rapper was wearing a blond wig, but a day prior she rocked up to court<\/a> with a black pixie cut \u2014 something that seemingly left the lawyer cross-examining her quite confused.<\/p>\n

He asked: “Yesterday you had black hair, short hair. Today it\u2019s blond and long. Which one is your real hair? Or are they both real?”<\/p>\n

Laughing, Cardi clarified that she wears wigs.<\/p>\n

She was then asked what color hair she had on the day of the alleged assault. Cardi said she didn’t know but remembered that she’d been wearing a hoodie at the time.<\/p>\n

Cardi was then asked to show her fingernails to court and to specify how long they were.<\/p>\n

“Way less than an inch,” the Grammy-award winner responded.<\/p>\n

The lawyer went on to ask several more questions about Cardi’s nails specifically, including if they were real or not and how long it would take to change her current nails into three inch-long ones.<\/p>\n

His line of questioning has left everyone wondering why it was necessary to go into details about Cardi’s appearance.<\/p>\n

“What ridiculous questions,” one person said. A second added: “I’m trying to understand the relevance of the questions. What’s this case about?”<\/p>\n

Somebody else wrote on Instagram<\/a>: “I am lost. What’s the case? What does her hair and nails gotta do with it?”<\/p>\n

A different person mused: “Do we ask men if they have hair plugs?”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
