Travis Kelce is already listening to fianc\u00e9e<\/a> Taylor Swift’s new album on repeat, and he’s quite fond of one particular song.<\/p>\n

Earlier this month, Swift appeared on her beau’s “New Heights” podcast<\/a> to announce her new album, “The Life of a Showgirl.” During that episode Travis Kelce gave his initial review of the record: “I\u2019ve been fortunate enough to hear every single song on here. So I know they\u2019re all 12 bangers,” he said.<\/p>\n

But in the latest episode of the podcast<\/a>, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end got more specific. Travis Kelce revealed to his co-host and brother, Jason Kelce, which of the album’s songs has most captivated his attention.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not a politician, Jason. I think \u2018Opalite\u2019 might be my favorite, though, at least right now. Every time it comes on, I always catch myself,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The professional football player is clearly proud of his fianc\u00e9e’s work and took a moment to applaud her upcoming album.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m gonna go ahead and just keep poking the bear to all the Swifties. I keep listening to this album. And I know she mentioned that it\u2019s gonna be a lot more pop beats and everything, but it\u2019s just, it\u2019s still so poetic, and how she (executes) her melodies and her references and stuff,” he said. “It\u2019s just so much fun to listen to, man. I\u2019ve been dancing all throughout the house.”<\/p>\n

Some Swifties already have a theory about what \u2014 or whom \u2014\u00a0Travis Kelce’s favorite song could be about.<\/p>\n

Many fans have taken to social media to suggest that “Opalite” may be a nod to Travis Kelce himself, and specifically one of his birthstones: opal. (The birthstones for October are opal and tourmaline, per the Gemological Institute of America<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

“That\u2019s a fan myth but real fandom logic though: Opal = Travis\u2019s birthstone + Taylor\u2019s jewelry + album timing = Opalite feels like a love code,” one fan wrote on X.<\/a><\/p>\n

Another commented<\/a>, “so cute that he says Opal is his favorite song because, as a fellow libra like Travis, I know opal is his birthstone.”<\/p>\n

Swift is known for dropping subtle clues, or Easter eggs, for her fans. During her “New Heights” appearance, she described her approach to planting these hints for fans.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m never going to plant an Easter egg that ties back to my personal life,\u201d Swift said at the time. \u201cIt\u2019s always going to be toward music or something I\u2019m coming up with, something I have coming up, a plan I have coming together \u2014 something that you don\u2019t know that I\u2019m saying for a specific reason that you\u2019ll hear later and you\u2019ll go back and be like, \u2018Oh my god.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

She’s also known for writing songs inspired by her love life. For example, “So High School” was long speculated to also be about Travis Kelce,<\/a> a fan theory she seemingly confirmed when she used the song to announce their engagement<\/a> Aug. 26.<\/p>\n

“bro\u2026 opal birthstone i see you,” one X user wrote<\/a> after Travis Kelce revealed his favorite song.<\/p>\n

It’s worth noting that opal and opalite are slightly different. Per the Gemological Institute of America,<\/a> opalite first appeared in 1988 at the Gem and Lapidary Dealers Association Tucson show. It was marketed as a “plastic imitation opal that shows true play-of-color.”<\/p>\n

“Subsequent gemological testing proved that this material was virtually identical to the plastic imitation opal previously described in the literature that was known to be manufactured in Japan,” the website reads.<\/p>\n

Per the International Gem Society<\/a>, opalite typically refers to a “plastic or glass opal simulant.”<\/p>\n

“However, there is a variety of natural opal sometimes called opalite. This common variety of opal comes in green, lavender, or purple colors and can also show a cat\u2019s eye,” the website reads.<\/p>\n

Swift and Travis Kelce are clearly smitten with each other. The day before the latest “New Heights” episode dropped, they announced their engagement<\/a> in a joint Instagram post.<\/p>\n

“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” they wrote in the caption.<\/p>\n
