Kayla Nicole is choosing \u201cjoy\u201d amid news that her famous ex-boyfriend, Travis Kelce, is\u00a0engaged to Taylor Swift<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The media personality took to her Instagram Stories Tuesday to\u00a0reshare a video<\/a>\u00a0of actress Tracee Ellis Ross \u201cshar[ing] a power reminder on experiencing joy.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI work at it,\u201d the \u201cBlack-ish\u201d star said in the clip. \u201cI think joy is different from happiness. I feel like happiness is something you can get at 7-Eleven, and joy is something that you earn and work for and takes practice.\u201d<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span>\u201cI feel like joy has legs. I feel like joy has feet. I feel like joy has roots. I feel like joy creates space and allows room for more than just a good day,\u201d Ross, 52, continued.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think joy is an attitude. I think joy is a perspective and I think joy is a lens through which I live and look at my life.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nicole, 33, also reflected on her own journey with joy, writing, \u201cRead about this concept years ago in a book called \u2018Choose Joy: Because Happiness Isn\u2019t Enough<\/a>,’\u201d referring to the Kay Warren self-help book.<\/p>\n

The influencer\u2019s inspirational reflection came hours after Kelce and Swift, both 35, announced that they were\u00a0taking their relationship to the next level\u00a0<\/a>after two years of dating.<\/p>\n

\u201cYour English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married\u00a0\ud83e\udde8,\u201d\u00a0they captioned a series of engagement photos shared via Instagram.<\/p>\n

The romantic snaps showed the Kansas City Chiefs star and the Grammy winner loved-up in a garden with the latter\u00a0flaunting her new massive diamond ring.<\/a><\/p>\n

The NFL star and the \u201cI Am Athlete Daily\u201d host dated on and off from 2017 to 2022.<\/p>\n

In the past, Nicole has been candid about the heartbreak from a past relationship. However, she has shied away from mentioning Kelce by name.<\/p>\n

Nicole also hinted on her \u201cPre-Game\u201d podcast in May that the Super Bowl champ\u2019s romance with Swift\u00a0made her \u201clook good.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n
