And in the blink of a crinkling eye, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are engaged.<\/p>\n

The All-Pro Chiefs tight end proposed to the pop megastar, Swift and Kelce announced in a joint Instagram post on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

\u201cYour English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,\u201d Swift wrote with photos of Kelce down on one knee and Swift with an engagement ring.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span>Swift\u2019s engagement ring showcases an old mine brilliant-cut diamond in a gold bezel setting,\u00a0according to Page Six<\/a>, which Kelce designed with some guidance from Kindred Lubeck of\u00a0Artifex Fine Jewelry<\/a>.<\/p>\n

First linked in 2023, Swift flipped the internet on its head\u00a0when she attended her first Chiefs game<\/a>\u00a0at Arrowhead Stadium in September to support Kelce.<\/p>\n

The 14-time Grammy winner was part of the Chiefs\u2019 thrilling run to Super Bowl 2024, when they took down the 49ers in overtime at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, 25-22.<\/p>\n

Kelce and Swift, both 35,\u00a0sealed the victory with a kiss<\/a>\u00a0on the field before celebrating into the night.<\/p>\n

History repeated itself this year when the Chiefs punched their ticket to Super Bowl 2025 with Swift by Kelce\u2019s side.<\/p>\n

The Chiefs lost to the Eagles in Super Bowl 2025 in New Orleans in a rematch of 2023\u2019s championship contest.<\/p>\n

Prior to Tuesday\u2019s revelation, Swift and Kelce had been at the center of engagement buzz for some time.<\/p>\n

Page Six reported<\/a>\u00a0in December 2023 that Kelce asked Swift\u2019s father, Scott Swift, for permission to propose.<\/p>\n

A high-up Chiefs executive also had been overheard last August discussing how Kelce and Swift planned to get married, per Page Six.<\/p>\n

\u201cScott has been asked for his blessing and has wholeheartedly given it, and Travis has been talking to friends about a ring,\u201d a source said at the time.<\/p>\n

Swift\u2019s family and Kelce\u2019s\u00a0have meshed throughout the couple\u2019s romance<\/a>, frequently taking in Chiefs games together.<\/p>\n

Before Super Bowl 2025 kicked off in February, Kelce\u2019s dad, Ed Kelce,\u00a0spoke about<\/a>\u00a0how the duo would have some time for themselves after a whirlwind year.<\/p>\n

Swift wrapped the nearly two-year run of her blockbuster Eras Tour in December 2024.<\/p>\n

Kelce, who attended several shows and\u00a0even made a cameo<\/a>\u00a0on stage,\u00a0threw her a surprise party<\/a>\u00a0to celebrate shortly after.
