Snoop Dogg<\/a><\/strong>\u2019s latest comments are raising eyebrows.<\/p>\n

After taking one of his seven grandchildren to see Disney<\/a>\u2019s Lightyear<\/em>, the \u201cGin and Juice\u201d rapper recalled being shocked to see an LGBTQ+<\/a> couple represented on the screen.<\/p>\n

“It\u2019s like, I\u2019m scared to go to the movies now,\u201d Snoop said on the Aug. 20 episode of Sarah Fontenot<\/strong>\u2019s It\u2019s Giving<\/a> <\/em>podcast. \u201cY\u2019all throwing me in the middle of s–t that I don\u2019t have an answer for.\u201d<\/p>\n

During one scene in the 2022 Toy Story<\/a><\/em> spinoff, female character Alisha Hawthorne (voiced by Uzo Aduba<\/a><\/strong>) notes that she has a wife. The couple is later shown kissing and goes on to welcome a son.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt threw me for a loop,\u201d he continued. \u201cI\u2019m like, \u2018What part of the movie was this?\u2019 These are kids. We have to show that at this age? They\u2019re going to ask questions. I don\u2019t have the answer.\u201d<\/p>\n

Indeed, the 55-year-old said that the moment sparked many questions from the little one.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n

\u201cMy grandson, in the middle of the movie, like, \u2018Papa Snoop, how she have a baby with a woman,\u2019\u201d he recalled. \u201cShe a woman.\u201d<\/p>\n

And in response, Snoop simply said at the time, \u201cHey man, watch the movie.\u201d<\/p>\n

But in reality, he was thinking to himself, \u201cOh s–t. I didn\u2019t come here for this s–t. I just came to watch the goddamn movie.\u201d<\/p>\n

E! News has reached out to Snoop’s rep for further comment and has not heard back.<\/p>\n

Lightyear<\/em>\u2019s representation of a same-sex couple caused quite a bit of controversy at the time of its release, with countries like Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates banning it altogether.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n

At one point, the scene was even cut from the film, per Variety<\/a><\/em>, before it was later added back following former CEO Bob Chapek<\/strong>\u2019s apology for the company\u2019s silence surrounding Florida\u2019s \u2018Don\u2019t Say Gay<\/a>\u2019 bill.\u201d<\/p>\n

“Speaking to you, reading your messages, and meeting with you have helped me better understand how painful our silence was,” Chapek wrote in a March 2022 email to employees. “It is clear that this is not just an issue about a bill in Florida, but instead yet another challenge to basic human rights.”<\/p>\n

“You needed me to be a stronger ally in the fight for equal rights and I let you down,\u201d he continued. \u201cI am sorry.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n
