Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce kept\u00a0their engagement<\/a>\u00a0under wraps for a while, Page Six has learned.<\/p>\n

A source exclusively tells us Tuesday that the Kansas City Chiefs tight end actually proposed to the pop superstar \u201ca couple of weeks ago.\u201d The exact date of the proposal is not immediately known.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s unclear if it happened before or after they recorded her episode of the \u201cNew Heights\u201d podcast, which was posted on Aug. 13. However, Kelce was already\u00a0sporting the shorter hair<\/a>\u00a0he debuted in late July.<\/p>\n

Swift and Kelce, both 35, did not go public with their engagement news, however, until Tuesday.<\/p>\n

The NFL star and Grammy winner cheekily captioned a joint post via Instagram, \u201cYour English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married\u00a0\ud83e\udde8.\u201d<\/p>\n

The post was\u00a0set to Swift\u2019s track<\/a>\u00a0\u201cSo High School,\u201d\u00a0<\/a>which the songstress has confirmed she wrote about her now-fianc\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Page Six has also learned that Kelce\u2019s family members found out about the engagement long before the power couple shared the news with their fans.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re told the Kelces are all \u201chappy\u201d and \u201cthrilled\u201d to officially welcome Swift into their family.<\/p>\n

Travis and Swift\u00a0have been dating<\/a>\u00a0since the summer of 2023 after the Super Bowl champ made it known on his \u201cNew Heights\u201d podcast that he wanted to meet Swift on her Eras Tour and give her his number.<\/p>\n

The \u201cLover\u201d singer shared on her record-breaking episode of the Wondery podcast recently that she felt \u00a0the pro athlete\u2019s \u201cwild romantic gesture\u201d\u00a0was like an \u201980s John Hughes movie.<\/p>\n
