WASHINGTON \u2014 President Trump gave his blessing to pop queen\u00a0Taylor Swift\u2019s engagement to NFL star Travis Kelce<\/a>\u00a0Tuesday \u2014 after initially snarking \u201cI wish him a lot of luck.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump, 79, made a similar\u00a0dismissive statement in the fall of 2020<\/a>\u00a0about\u00a0Prince Harry and his spouse Meghan Markle, and offered softer additional comments when asked about the Swift-Kelce match during a cabinet meeting.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo, I think he\u2019s a great player, I think he\u2019s a great guy,\u201d the president said. \u201cI think that she\u2019s a\u00a0terrific person. So I wish them a lot of luck.\u201d<\/p>\n
