The star passed away in Madrid on Sunday after a private fight with cancer, according to local reports.<\/p>\n<p>Echegui enjoyed an impressive 18-year career, appearing in over 30 films and shows. Her breakout came in <em>I Am Juani<\/em> (2006), which made her a household name in Spain. She later starred in <em>My Prisoner\u2019s Yard<\/em> and worked with Hollywood icons Sigourney Weaver and Bruce Willis in <em>The Cold Light of Day<\/em> (2013)<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><\/figure>\n<p>Her final role was in Apple TV+\u2019s <em>Love You To Death<\/em>, released earlier this year. Reflecting on the story\u2019s themes, she said: <em>\u201cThe series asks many questions about death and life, because it\u2019s impossible to talk about one without the other.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Tributes poured in across Spain.
