Jayden Daniels<\/a> had a lot to say about a disgruntled teammate during an interview with The Athletic\u2019s Dianna Russini on the latest episode of \u201cScoop City<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Daniels raised eyebrows when he said during Monday\u2019s preseason game against the Cincinnati Bengals<\/a> that he knew unsettled wide receiver Terry McLaurin<\/a> would \u201cbe coming through the door soon.\u201d<\/p>\n

McLaurin, who has been the subject of trade rumors<\/a>, is unhappy with his current deal and would like to have another one to step on the field in 2025.<\/p>\n

The Washington Commanders<\/a> have worked diligently to put the necessary pieces in place for Daniels to succeed, but one stone remains unturned.<\/p>\n

While speaking with Russini, a picture was taken of the two near the Commanders\u2019 practice field.<\/p>\n

The Washington Commanders already traded one disgruntled offensive skill-position player, but superstar second-year quarterback Jayden Daniels certainly does not want that to happen with his favorite wideout.<\/p>\n

Daniels told The Athletic\u2019s Dianna Russini he feels \u201cgreat\u201d about the Commanders\u2019 situation with McLaurin.<\/p>\n

Washington, which reportedly tried to send McLaurin to the Steelers in a trade<\/a>, has been unwilling to give him a new contract averaging at least $33 million per year, which is what he reportedly wants.<\/p>\n

McLaurin has 460 catches for 6,379 receiving yards and 38 touchdowns in six seasons with the Commanders, but is coming off arguably his most effective season as a pro in 2024.<\/p>\n

He had 82 catches and set a new career high in touchdowns with 13 while also posting his fifth straight 1,000-plus-yard season with 1,096.<\/p>\n

Jayden Daniels has faith that McLaurin and the Commanders will get a deal done.<\/p>\n
