President Donald Trump has finally responded to California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D), who has been relentlessly trolling him on social media in recent days. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Newsom has made it his mission to \u201cput a mirror to Trump\u201d \u2014 launching a full-blown parody campaign that mimics the president\u2019s signature social media rants and even using AI-generated images to mock the GOP and Trump supporters such as Kid Rock<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI know there are some people who are offended by our all-caps parody of Trump, but I thought it\u2019s time to put a mirror to Trump,\u201d <\/span>Newsom told<\/span><\/a> MeidasTouch Network\u2019s Adam Mockler.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

It seems the trolling worked. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Talking to reporters<\/a> Friday, Trump didn\u2019t hold back when asked about the California Democrat. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cThe governor is incompetent,\u201d he said. \u201cI know Gavin very well. He\u2019s an incompetent guy with a good line of bullshit \u2014 and he doesn\u2019t get the job done.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Newsom quickly fired back<\/a> on X, formerly Twitter, simply saying, \u201cSuch low energy. SAD!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

On Wednesday, the online feud spilled over to Truth Social, where the president kept the attacks coming. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cGavin Newscum is way down in the polls,\u201d he wrote. \u201cHe is viewed as the man who is destroying the once Great State of California. I will save California!!! President DJT.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Newsom responded<\/a> by screenshotting the post and adding just one word: \u201cTriggered.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

During his interview with Mockler, Newsom explained the strategy behind his mockery \u2014 and why he\u2019s doubling down.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cThe point is to make the point about what is going on in this country,\u201d he said. \u201cYou have the president of the United States that\u2019s acting like a child and you\u2019ve got the chatbots on Fox that repeat 24\/7 and are weaponizing his grievances, attacking vulnerable people, traumatizing communities.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

He also delivered a broader call to action aimed at his fellow Democrats.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
