{"id":34941,"date":"2025-08-20T21:15:46","date_gmt":"2025-08-20T21:15:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/usdailys.com\/?p=34941"},"modified":"2025-08-20T21:15:46","modified_gmt":"2025-08-20T21:15:46","slug":"bryan-kohberger-files-sexual-harassment-complaint-in-prison-exclusive","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/usdailys.com\/?p=34941","title":{"rendered":"Bryan Kohberger Files Sexual Harassment Complaint in Prison (Exclusive)"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"article__primary-video-container_1-0\" class=\"comp article__primary-video-container mntl-block\">\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"article-content_1-0\" class=\"comp article-content mntl-block\">\n<div id=\"mntl-sc-page_1-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-page mntl-block structured-content\" data-sc-sticky-offset=\"90\" data-sc-ad-label-height=\"24\" data-sc-ad-track-spacing=\"100\" data-sc-min-track-height=\"250\" data-sc-max-track-height=\"600\" data-sc-breakpoint=\"50em\" data-sc-load-immediate=\"4\" data-sc-content-positions=\"[1, 1250, 1550, 1950, 2350, 2750, 3150, 3550, 3950]\" data-bind-scroll-on-start=\"true\">\n<div id=\"mntl-sc-block_1-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block people-sc-block-callout mntl-sc-block-universal-callout theme-needtoknow\" data-tracking-id=\"mntl-sc-block-callout\" data-tracking-container=\"true\">\n<div class=\"mntl-sc-block-universal-callout__body\">\n<ul>\n<li>Bryan Kohberger submitted a handwritten note begging prison officials to transfer him out of the J-Block at the Idaho Maximum Security Institution in Boise on July 30<\/li>\n<li>Five days later he handed a note of concern to a guard in which he said he was being sexually harassed by other inmates who were making threats such as telling him, &#8220;I&#8217;ll b&#8212; f&#8212; you&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Kohberger, who also accused an inmate of saying &#8216;the only a&#8211; we&#8217;ll be eating is Kohberger&#8217;s&#8217; did not receive a transfer<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_2-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"><a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/bryan-kohberger-classmates-recall-seeing-injuries-after-idaho-murders-11793942\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-type=\"internalLink\" data-ordinal=\"1\">Bryan Kohberger<\/a> is having a <a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/inmates-reportedly-making-bryan-kohbergers-life-miserable-11791133\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-type=\"internalLink\" data-ordinal=\"2\">difficult time adjusting to prison<\/a>, and has already requested a transfer and filed a sexual harassment complaint.<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_4-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\">On July 30, the convicted murderer submitted a handwritten note requesting that he be placed in a different facility, after just one night in the J-Block at the Idaho Maximum Security Institution in Boise.<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_6-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\">&#8220;Not engaging in any of the recent flooding\/striking as well as being subject to minute-by-minute verbal threats\/harassment and on that and other bases [<em>sic<\/em>] Unit 2 of J-Block is an environment that I wish to transfer from,&#8221; Kohberger wrote in his note, a copy of which was obtained by PEOPLE. (Flooding refers to inmates intentionally causing water to overflow in their cells as a form of disruption.)<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_8-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\">Just five days later, on Aug. 4, Kohberger complained of sexual harassment in a concern note to a prison guard after an inmate allegedly told him: &#8220;I&#8217;ll b&#8212; f&#8211; you.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_11-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\">Kohberger also accused another inmate of saying: &#8220;The only a&#8211; we&#8217;ll be eating is Kohberger&#8217;s.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_13-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\">PEOPLE obtained the incident notification report filled out by the guard who received the note, which also included the name of the guard Kohberger claimed had witnessed the alleged threats.<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_15-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\">That guard submitted an information report three days later saying that while he &#8220;recalls vulgar language being used and directed towards Kohberger,&#8221; he was not able to discern which inmate said what at the time.<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_17-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\">Kohberger was transferred to the J-Block on July 29.<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_19-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\">J-Block is a\u00a0unit that can house up to 128 individuals and includes a mix of general population, protective custody and death row inmates.<\/p>\n<div id=\"mntl-sc-block_21-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block people-sc-block-spotlight--mid-circ mntl-sc-block-spotlight--mid-circ mntl-block\">\n<div id=\"midcirc__card-list_1-0\" class=\"comp midcirc__card-list mntl-block\">\n<div id=\"midcirc-card__title_1-0\" class=\"comp midcirc-card__title mntl-text-block\">Bryan Kohberger&#8217;s Professor Warned He&#8217;d &#8216;Stalk and Sexually Abuse&#8217; People \u2014 and Then He Killed 4 Students<\/div>\n<div id=\"midcirc-card__title_2-0\" class=\"comp midcirc-card__title mntl-text-block\">Bryan Kohberger&#8217;s Classmates Recall Seeing Him Covered in Injuries for Weeks After Idaho Murders<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_23-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\">Individuals like Kohberger, who are in long-term restrictive housing, have single-person cells, are transported in restraints, and receive one hour of outdoor recreation daily. They are also permitted to shower only every other day \u2014 a far cry from the <a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/bryan-kohberger-behind-bars-inmate-shares-peculiar-habits-of-murderer-11784724\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-type=\"internalLink\" data-ordinal=\"1\">hour-long showers<\/a> Kohberger was able to take in jail.<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_25-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"><strong>Want to keep up with the latest crime coverage? in the J-Block and it is &#8220;generally a fairly calm and quieter tier.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_31-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\">He is then told to &#8220;give it some time.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_33-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\">At the end of his more recent complaint about sexual harassment, prison officials said that &#8220;Kohberger feels safe to remain on tier 2 in J-Block.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_35-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\">The Idaho Department of Corrections did not respond to a request for comment.<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_37-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\">Kohberger is <a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/bryan-kohberger-sentenced-four-lifetimes-in-prison-idaho-murders-11776817\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-type=\"internalLink\" data-ordinal=\"1\">serving four life sentences<\/a> after confessing to the murders of four University of Idaho students: <a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/bryan-kohberger-beat-kaylee-goncalves-in-the-face-as-she-fought-for-her-life-before-stabbing-her-to-death-her-mom-says-11766943\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-type=\"internalLink\" data-ordinal=\"2\">Kaylee Goncalves<\/a>, 21;
