Jimmy Kimmel has become the latest celebrity to reveal he is planning on leaving the US due to the current political climate.<\/p>\n

The TV host<\/a> has shared the news that he has applied for dual citizenship in Italy.<\/p>\n

Talking to podcast<\/a> host Sarah Silverman, Kimmel<\/a> revealed: “I did get Italian citizenship.”<\/p>\n

He added: “I do have that. And what\u2019s going on is – as bad as you thought it was going to be – it\u2019s so much worse. It\u2019s just unbelievable.<\/p>\n

“I feel like it\u2019s even worse than he would like it to be.”<\/p>\n

In recent weeks and months, Donald Trump<\/a> has been putting various TV presenters in his sights, including Stephen Colbert<\/a> after The Late Show<\/em> was cancelled.<\/p>\n

Trump said: “I hear Jimmy Kimmel is next! Has even less talent than Colbert!”<\/p>\n

Kimmel previously revealed: “I have just obtained citizenship, thanks to my beloved grandmother Edith, whose family came from Candida, in the province of Avellino.”<\/p>\n

The host isn’t the only celeb<\/a> to share a desire to leave the United States<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Here are some of the other Hollywood stars and A-Listers who are looking to flee.<\/p>\n

Angelina Jolie<\/h2>\n

According to People, Jolie<\/a> is considering ‘several locations abroad’ to move to.<\/p>\n

It comes as she has put her huge Los Angeles home on the market as well.<\/p>\n

They say Jolie ‘never wanted to live in L.A. full time’, but was limited to where she could live until the divorce from Brad Pitt<\/a> was finalised.<\/p>\n

A source said Jolie ‘plans to relocate as soon as Knox and Viv turn 18 next year. She’s eyeing several locations abroad. She’ll be very happy when she’s able to leave Los Angeles.’<\/p>\n

She bought her mansion in 2017 for a reported $24.5 million, and it was built in 1913 and previously owned by Cecil B. DeMille.<\/p>\n

Pitt and Jolie previously owned a large property in France, which they bought for $60 million.<\/p>\n

Her father, John Voight, is a staunch Trump supporter who celebrated his win.<\/p>\n

DeGeneres told Richard Bacon: \u201cYes. We got here the day before the election and woke up to lots of texts from our friends with crying emojis, and I was like, \u2018He got in.\u2019 And we\u2019re like, \u2018We\u2019re staying here,\u2019\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

An anonymous source told The Wrap at the time of their move that Ellen and Portia will ‘never return<\/a>‘ to the US.<\/p>\n

She told a crowd in Cheltenham that life in the UK ‘is just better’ and said life in the US can be ‘scary for people to be who they are.’<\/p>\n

The singer revealed she is getting a British citizenship<\/a>.<\/p>\n

She also said the US is ‘frightening now.’<\/p>\n

While speaking at the Royal Geographical Society in London in March, she said: “In terms of Trump, and particularly this group… it’s like emperor-core. Like, [they ‘re] wearing million-dollar watches.<\/p>\n

“Emperor-core is going on at Mar-a-Lago. It’s frightening now. It’s like cyanide now.”<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m really glad I\u2019m here,\u201d she said at the event. \u201cIt\u2019s so great to live here. I\u2019m finally getting my British citizenship in six months. I get to be a citizen. I\u2019m applying, man! Can\u2019t get rid of me!\u201d<\/p>\n

She has also previously praised the UK’s stricter privacy laws, following her experiences in the US in the wake of Kurt Cobain’s death.<\/p>\n

They made the move back in January, just days before Trump was sworn in.<\/p>\n

\u201cI miss many things about life there at home and I’m trying to find a home here in this beautiful country and when it is safe for all citizens to have equal rights there in America, that’s when we will consider coming back,\u201d she said on TikTok.<\/p>\n

She told<\/a> the New York Times about her move to Dublin: “I never thought he would win again, but I said, \u2018If he does, I\u2019m going to move,\u2019 and my therapist said, \u2018Well, let\u2019s make a real plan\u2019\u201d.<\/p>\n

In the final weeks of Trump’s campaign, she made steps to move: \u201cI got my passport renewed, I got Clay\u2019s passport renewed,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy brother has his passport. All my cousins have their passports. But I was never a traveller.\u201d<\/p>\n

She was also asked if she could see any good in Trump, and she gave a simple answer: “None.”<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m privileged, I get to escape and go somewhere,” she confessed.<\/p>\n

\u201cMost Americans aren\u2019t so lucky. They\u2019re going to be stuck in this dystopian country, and my anxiety and sadness is for them.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, in November she backtracked on her comments.<\/p>\n

According to<\/a> The Hollywood Reporter, during a recording of The View: Behind The Table podcast <\/em>she called her co-host Ana Navarro.<\/p>\n

When Navarro answered, Longoria pleaded: \u201cWill you please let them know I didn\u2019t move out of Spain because of [Donald] Trump.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Barbie<\/em> actress is said to be seeking the ‘best opportunities possible’ and is ‘prioritizing her life and focusing on the importance for her kids.’<\/p>\n

Another source told<\/a> Hello! Magazine:<\/em> “It looks like she’s planning to move to South West London.”<\/p>\n

“She has been checking out the local private school for her children,” they continued. “She was seen [at a private school in Barnes] at the open day and appeared very happy with what she saw.”<\/p>\n
