The movie star does not want to waste time as he grows older and now prefers being as honest and upfront as possible \u2014 a trait he says he learned from his mother.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Leonardo DiCaprio, who has often been linked to younger women, is now 50 years old. In a recent interview, he gave an eyebrow-raising answer when asked about his age.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

When asked how old he is, the actor replied<\/a>, “Thirty-two.” When questioned about whether this stage of life is a natural time for reflection, the Hollywood veteran further said<\/a>:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

“Well, it creates a feeling like you have a desire to just be more honest and not waste your time. I can only imagine how the next few decades are going to progress.”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n

DiCaprio noted that his mother always speaks her mind without pretenses. “She spends no time trying to fake it,” he shared<\/a>. For him, it is about more than avoiding a fa\u00e7ade.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

“Being more upfront and risking having things fall apart or risking the disagreements or risking going your separate ways from any type of relationship in life \u2014 the personal, professional \u2014 it’s that you just don’t want to waste your time anymore. You have to just be much more upfront,” DiCaprio explained<\/a>. He views this as a responsibility, especially when more of one’s life is behind them than ahead.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

As the Academy Award winner reflected on aging, his love life \u2014 often a topic of public interest \u2014 remained under scrutiny because of his history of dating younger women.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

DiCaprio is currently dating 27-year-old Italian fashion model Vittoria Ceretti, who prefers to keep the details of their relationship private. In a March 2025 interview, she revealed only that they met in Milan<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

However, she was willing to share her thoughts on his work. Asked if she had watched “Titanic” as a teenager, she said yes, calling<\/a> it an “iconic film.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The Vogue cover star also addressed whether being labeled “a girlfriend of” despite her modeling success felt limiting. “Yes. As soon as you’re in a relationship with someone who has a larger following than you, you become ‘girlfriend of’ \u2014 or ‘boyfriend of,’ for that matter. And that can be extremely annoying,” she explained<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Years later, at 39, the actor was linked to German model Toni Garrn, then 21. Their relationship lasted a year before they parted ways, briefly reunited, and ultimately ended things for good in 2017 \u2014 again, when she was 25.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
