Late-night show host Jimmy Kimmel, one of several who have been extremely critical of former President Donald Trump and his supporters, suggested in an interview published this week that he may soon be ending it.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think this is my final contract. I hate to even say it, because everyone\u2019s laughing at me now \u2014 each time I think that, and then it turns out to be not the case. I still have a little more than two years left on my contract, and that seems pretty good. That seems like enough,\u201d Kimmel\u00a0told<\/a>\u00a0the\u00a0Los Angeles Times.<\/p>\n

His current contract expires in 2025.<\/p>\n

Kimmel has hosted his show on ABC since 2003. He also said he\u2019s taking a lot of time to prepare to host the Oscars later this year. In addition, he also hinted that he has been considering retiring.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s hard to yearn for it when you\u2019re doing it,\u201d the Jimmy Kimmel Live host told the LA Times. \u201cWednesday night, I was very tired, and I had all these scripts to go through \u2014 I had to revise and rewrite all these pitch ideas for the Oscars \u2014 and I was literally nodding off onto my computer.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn those moments, I think, \u2018I cannot wait until my contract is over.\u2019 But then, I take the summer off or I go on strike, and you start going, \u2018Yeah, I miss the fun stuff,\u2019\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

When asked if he planned to do something else if he didn\u2019t renew his contract, Kimmel, 56, said he wasn\u2019t sure. \u201cIt might not be anything that anyone other than me is aware of,\u201d he told the Times, noting that he has several hobbies he could focus on instead.<\/p>\n

\u201cI know that when I die, if I\u2019m fortunate enough to die on my own terms in my own bed, I\u2019m going to think, \u2018Oh, I was never able to get to this, and I was never able to get to that.\u2019 I just know it about myself,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
