Cameras caught Kansas City Chiefs<\/a> superstar defensive tackle Chris Jones<\/a> lighting into teammate George Karlaftis during practice, apparently because the latter asked for a breather.<\/p>\n

Chris Jones and George Karlaftis have emerged as one of the league\u2019s best pass rushing duos since the latter broke into the NFL<\/a> in 2022. The pair have led the Chiefs to three straight AFC Championships and Super Bowl 57 and 58 championships.<\/p>\n

As the leader of the Kansas City defense, Jones knows how to hold his players accountable and keep them honest. Karlaftis had to be reminded of this the hard way during a recent practice session.<\/p>\n

George Karlaftis seemingly needed a break during a team drill, but Chris Jones wasn\u2019t going to buy it. Let\u2019s just say he didn\u2019t mince words with Karlaftis.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was 24-25, I was doing every f**king drive full speed. You 24-25, asking for equipment\u2026I ain\u2019t hearing it. How you on the field with no helmet? You can\u2019t play?\u2026Well get 15 sacks then!..I ain\u2019t seen it once?!\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Those words may come across as harsh and unnecessary to non-football fans, but it\u2019s really just a testament to Jones\u2019 leadership. The Chiefs, like the old New England Patriots in the Tom Brady<\/a> and Bill Belichick era, take every second of practice seriously.<\/p>\n

Karlaftis notched eight sacks<\/a> last season, 2.5 short of the career high he posted in 2023. Keep following Jones\u2019 lead, however, and it won\u2019t be long until Karlaftis pushes 15 in a season.<\/p>\n
