Baltimore Ravens<\/a> rookie cornerback Bilhal Kone suffered a gnarly-looking knee injury during the first quarter of Thursday night\u2019s preseason opener against the Indianapolis Colts<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Late in the first quarter, Bilhal Kone was defending against Ashton Dulin in the Ravens\u2019 end zone as a pass fell incomplete. Kone fell to the ground and grabbed at his left leg, and a trainer quickly rushed onto the field.<\/p>\n

Be warned that the injury is awfully gruesome-looking, and some may be disturbed by the content below:<\/p>\n

Kone was carted off the field with an air cast and was immediately ruled OUT by the team.<\/p>\n

Just awful. You never wanna have something like this happen in preseason.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, Bilhal Kone and the Ravens quickly received the worst-case scenario. Soon after the injury, NFL<\/a> insider Jordan Schultz reported that Kone suffered<\/a> ACL and MCL tears and would miss his entire rookie year.<\/p>\n

The 23-year-old was drafted in the sixth round (178th overall) by the Ravens following a two-year stint at Western Michigan. In his final year of college football, Kone recorded one interception, nine pass breakups and two fumble recoveries.<\/p>\n

The Ravens entered 2025 with one of the deepest secondaries in the league, led by Kyle Hamilton, Marlon Humphrey<\/a>, Nate Wiggins and Malaki Starks. With Kone missing his entire rookie year, however, the Ravens will have to move quickly to find a suitable replacement.<\/p>\n
