We\u2019re going to do everything we can to protect every single one of them and make sure that \u2014 \u2019cause we know they\u2019re doing the right thing, we know that they\u2019re following the law,\u201d Pritzker told reporters at a press conference Sunday night held alongside the Texas state lawmakers, per The Hill.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s Ken Paxton who doesn\u2019t follow the law. It\u2019s the leaders of Texas who are attempting not to follow the law,\u201d he claimed. \u201cThey\u2019re the ones that need to be held accountable.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker\u2019s remarks followed the decision by Texas Democrats to flee their state in order to block a quorum \u2014 the minimum number of lawmakers required to conduct legislative business \u2014 during a special session called by Texas Gov.
