While the Chiefs star\u2019s parents, Donna and Ed Kelce, divorced over a decade ago, they also remain close friends.<\/p>\n<p>Over the past few years, Ed formed a relationship with Maureen Maguire. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/sports\/story\/2024-02-10\/taylor-swift-travis-kelce-family-dad\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">The Los Angeles Times<\/a> referred to Maguire as Ed\u2019s girlfriend in an exclusive interview in February 2024. However, on Saturday, August 2, Ed shared the heartbreaking news that Maureen died, posting <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stretchfuneralhome.com\/obituaries\/Maureen-Anne-Maguire?obId=43821204\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">her obituary<\/a> on his Facebook page.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>Maureen Maguire\u2019s Obituary Refers to Ed Kelce as Her \u2018Beloved Friend\u2019<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_5441442\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\" style=\"width: 792px;\">\n<figure class=\"h-responsive\" style=\"aspect-ratio: 782 \/ 452;\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"max-width: 100%; height: auto; display: block; margin: 1em auto;\" src=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Screenshot-2025-08-02-at-6.09.18%E2%80%AFPM.png?w=782\" alt=\"Maureen Maguire\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-5441442\" data-lazy-load=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-5441442\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><span class=\"caption-credit\">Stretch Funeral Home<\/span>Ed Kelce\u2019s beloved friend, Maureen Maguire, died on August, 1, 2025.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cMaureen Maguire, born November 21, 1950, in the Bronx, New York, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones,\u201d the obituary stated. \u201cThough she began her life in New York City, Maureen spent the majority of her years in the suburbs of Philadelphia, where she built a warm and vibrant home filled with love, laughter, and family traditions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Like the former elementary school teacher, Ed also resides in a Philadelphia suburb. \u201cShe was a devoted mother whose greatest pride was her children\u2014Chuck (Jessica), Courtney (David), and Patrick (Christen) \u2014and her six cherished grandchildren. Maureen is also survived by her beloved sister, Loretta O\u2019Brien (Kevin), and her brother, John Bullock (Linda), who held a very special place in her life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe was predeceased by her husband, Daniel J. One person commented, \u201cSo sorry for your loss.\u201d One woman added, \u201cSo sorry, Ed. I\u2019m sure you brought each other a lot of joy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>One man wrote, \u201cShe sounded like the type of person that everyone needs in their Lives. Seems you guys made some amazing memories together. Hold them close, and keep your head up. So sorry for your loss.
