Social media had plenty of jokes after a Las Vegas Raiders reporter revealed the unique gift the team sent to its season ticket holders for 2025.<\/p>\n

The Las Vegas Raiders are gearing up for their sixth season in Sin City, looking to make the playoffs for the first time since 2021. The rebuilt Raiders have a new head coach (Pete Carroll), front office (led by GM John Spytek), quarterback (Geno Smith) and prized rookie running back in Ashton Jeanty.<\/p>\n
Optimism is brewing again in Las Vegas, with the legendary Tom Brady also coming aboard as part-owner. The Raiders begin their 2025 season with a road game against Brady\u2019s old team, the New England Patriots, on Sept. 7.<\/p>\n
Las Vegas Raiders reporter Jesse Merrick of Silver & Black Sports Network revealed the slick gift that season ticket holders received this year: A book detailing the history of the franchise\u2019s best quarterbacks:

It\u2019s a kind gesture from the football team, yes. But fans couldn\u2019t help but roast the Raiders\u2019 well-intended idea, such as Derek Carr\u2019s curious omission from the book:<\/p>\n

As some folks pointed out, the book was likely finished before Carr announced his stunning retirement. His tenure with the Silver and Black ended on a sour note, but he holds every major franchise passing record (3,201 completions, 35,222 yards and 217 touchdowns) by a wide margin.<\/p>\n
With a new coaching staff, front office and rebuilt offense to help Brock Bowers and Jakobi Meyers, the pieces are there for the Raiders to surprise and make a potential run at a wild-card spot.<\/p>\n
The Raiders play in a tough division that sent three teams to the playoffs a year ago. But if all breaks right, the franchise just might celebrate its third playoff appearance since 2003.<\/p>\n
