Brooke Hogan has spoken out for the first time since her father\u2019s passing.<\/p>\n

On Thursday, July 24, WWE legend Hulk Hogan passed away at the age of 71 after emergency responders were called to his home in Clearwater, Florida, following reports of cardiac arrest.<\/p>\n

The wrestling icon was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 11:17 a.m., according to Clearwater Police Major Nate Burnside.<\/p>\n

Not long after, statements from Hulk\u2019s family began to pour in. <\/strong><\/p>\n

His wife, Sky Daily, shared a message<\/a> on Instagram, expressing her heartbreak over his unexpected death.<\/p>\n

Hulk\u2019s son, Nick Hogan, also shared a tribute<\/a>. In it, he posted a series of photos of himself and his father together over the years.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would do anything to have him back but I know now that he will always be watching over me,\u201d part of Nicks tribute read. \u201cI will always remember the lessons and advice he gave me and carry on in a way that I know would make him proud.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

A few days after Hulk Hogan\u2019s passing, his daughter Brooke broke her silence with an emotional and honest message shared on her social media.<\/p>\n

Brooke had been estranged from her family, including her father, for several years at the time of his death. <\/strong><\/p>\n

However, in her post, the 37-year-old took the time to touch on some of the rumors that had been circulating.<\/p>\n

She clarified that she and her father had always shared a strong bond, regardless of what people may have assumed. The beginning of<\/strong> Brooke\u2019s statement read:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cMy dad\u2019s blood runs through my veins. His eyes shine through my children. And our bond has never broken, not even in his final moments. We had a connection deeper than words, one that spanned lifetimes. I am so grateful that I knew the real version of him. Not just the one the world viewed through a carefully curated lens. We shared a quiet, sacred bond, one that could be seen and felt by anyone who witnessed us together.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

She went on to say that she felt it was \u201cnecessary to clear a few things up\u201d about what happened between her and her father before they became estranged.<\/p>\n

Brooke explained that it wasn\u2019t a \u201cbig fight\u201d that led to their separation.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a series of private phone calls no one will ever hear, know, or understand,\u201d she said. \u201cMy father was confiding in me about issues weighing on his heart, both personal and business. I offered to be a life raft in whatever capacity he needed. I told him he had my support. I begged him to rest, to take care of himself.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Years ago, Brooke and her husband, former NHL player Steven Olesky, moved back to Florida to be closer to Hulk. But, Brooke shared that this was when their relationship started to change.<\/p>\n

She explained that as Hulk began dealing with more health issues, he slowly went from being \u201cso vulnerable\u201d with her to not wanting her involved at all.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe had been through almost 25 surgeries together, and then all of a sudden he didn\u2019t want me at surgeries\u2026everything started getting covered in a thick veil. It was like there was a force field around him that I couldn\u2019t get through.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Brooke said this eventually led to her and her father having \u201crespectful disagreements.\u201d Over time, it began to take an \u201cemotional toll\u201d on her.<\/p>\n

\u201cDuring the last two years, I had to step away to protect my heart,\u201d she said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

During the time she stepped away from her family, Brooke got married and welcomed twins in January 2025.<\/p>\n

She also shared that although she wasn\u2019t in contact, her husband continued speaking with Hulk, \u201ctrying to find a safe way back in\u201d for her.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll I ever wanted from my father was love, honesty and a deep connection,\u201d she added. \u201cAnd for a few special years, I had that \u2014 with memories that will last a lifetime. My world is forever changed. But I\u2019m deeply blessed with a loving husband and two beautiful children who remind me every day of life\u2019s greatest gifts.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
