In a recent appearance, Carter didn\u2019t hold back, claiming Kelce\u2019s high-profile relationship with global pop icon Taylor Swift might be damaging his football legacy.<\/p>\n

\u201cDating her is going to take something away from your career,\u201d Carter said bluntly. \u201cHe won\u2019t be All-Pro Travis Kelce ever again. He can\u2019t run the same, he can\u2019t block like he used to. He\u2019s just not the same guy on the field anymore.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Carter\u2019s critique wasn\u2019t just about Kelce\u2019s relationship\u2014it extended to his physical performance as well. The former Vikings legend argued that Kelce has lost his burst and explosiveness, key attributes that once made him unguardable over the middle of the field.<\/p>\n

Kelce, however, isn\u2019t entertaining the noise. On New Heights<\/em>, the podcast he co-hosts with brother Jason Kelce, the Chiefs star shot down the idea that dating Swift has been a distraction. If anything, he says it\u2019s been a boost to his mindset and motivation.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m enjoying life, flying high, and locked in on being the best version of myself,\u201d Kelce said. \u201cThe energy I get from Taylor\u2014her support, her positivity\u2014it makes me want to elevate every part of my game.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

He\u2019s also pointed to how her presence on the sidelines during games brought joy and support\u2014not pressure.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen someone shows up for you like that, how can it not push you to work harder?\u201d Kelce added.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
