Andy Byron’s company have issued an update on the Astronomer CEO after it announced that a formal investigation is underway.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Byron has gone\u00a0viral<\/a>\u00a0in recent days for all the wrong reasons after he was spotted cuddling a woman \u2014 who has since been identified as Astronomer employee Kristin Cabot \u2014 at a\u00a0Coldplay<\/a>\u00a0concert.<\/p>\n

The moment was caught on a baseball game-like ‘kiss cam’ at the concert at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough,\u00a0Massachusetts,<\/a>\u00a0on July 16.<\/p>\n

The band’s frontman Chris Martin was speaking to the crowd as different couples were shown on screen when Byron and Cabot came up. Byron had his arms wrapped around Cabot, but when they realized they were on screen, the CEO ducked down and Cabot quickly hid her face from view.<\/p>\n

“Either they’re having an affair or they’re just really shy,”\u00a0Martin said<\/a>\u00a0in the video of the extremely awkward incident.<\/p>\n

In the wake of the ordeal Astronomer announced that its Board of Directors was\u00a0investigating the matter<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It said in a statement issued on July 18: “Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding. Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability.<\/p>\n

“The Board of Directors has initiated a formal investigation into this matter and we will have additional details to share very shortly.<\/p>\n

“Alyssa Stoddard was not at the event and no other employees were in the video. Andy Byron has not put out any statement, reports saying otherwise are all incorrect.”<\/p>\n

Now in an update shared to LinkedIn, Astronomer announced that Bryon has been placed on leave.<\/p>\n

The pair’s reaction has since gone viral on social media (TikTok)<\/cite><\/div>\n

“Cofounder and Chief Product Officer Pete DeJoy is currently serving as interim CEO given Andy Byron has been placed on leave,”\u00a0said<\/a>\u00a0the New York-based software development company.<\/p>\n

“We will share more details as appropriate in the coming days,” it added.<\/p>\n

The post has been liked over 4,000 times in the few hours since it was shared on LinkedIn.<\/p>\n
