Donald Trump has issued a furious statement and threatened to sue a US newspaper after a disturbing birthday letter he allegedly sent to Jeffrey Epstein was revealed.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Wall Street Journal published<\/a> a piece this week claiming Ghislaine Maxwell<\/a> – the former girlfriend and accomplice of Jeffrey Epstein<\/a> – collected messages from Epstein’s associates and added them to a birthday album for a celebration in 2003.<\/p>\n

One of the alleged messages was signed by President Trump<\/a>, according to the documents reviewed by the newspaper.<\/p>\n

WSJ reports the letter featured a few lines of typewritten text, which was seemingly framed by a hand-drawn outline of a naked woman.<\/p>\n

“Happy Birthday – and may every day be another wonderful secret,” the alleged letter concluded, before being signed off with just ‘Donald’.<\/p>\n

Trump swiftly took to Truth Social to address the article, stating he now plans to sue the WSJ after deeming the letter ‘fake’.<\/p>\n

The president wrote: “The Wall Street Journal, and Rupert Murdoch, personally, were warned directly by President Donald J. Trump that the supposed letter they printed by President Trump to Epstein was a FAKE and, if they print it, they will be sued. “Mr. Murdoch stated that he would take care of it but, obviously, did not have the power to do so.<\/p>\n

“The Editor of The Wall Street Journal, Emma Tucker, was told directly by Karoline Leavitt, and by President Trump, that the letter was a FAKE, but Emma Tucker didn’t want to hear that. Instead, they are going with a false, malicious, and defamatory story anyway.<\/p>\n

“President Trump will be suing The Wall Street Journal, NewsCorp, and Mr. Murdoch, shortly. The Press has to learn to be truthful, and not rely on sources that probably don’t even exist.”<\/p>\n

Convicted pedophile Epstein was found dead in his cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Manhattan, New York City<\/a> in August 2019.<\/p>\n

The financier had been arrested<\/a> earlier in the year and died aged 66 while awaiting trial for charges related to sex trafficking – charges<\/a> to which he pleaded not guilty.<\/p>\n

In a follow-up Truth Social post, Trump ordered the attorney general, Pam Bondi, to release ‘any and all pertinent grand jury testimony’ in relation to Epstein’s case.<\/p>\n

“President Trump-we are ready to move the court tomorrow to unseal the grand jury transcripts,” Bondi quickly responded on Twitter.<\/p>\n

The Justice Department has said in the past that over 200 documents relating to Epstein are in their possession, while the FBI is said to have thousands more.<\/p>\n

Trump has said the release of any documents would be subject to court approval.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
