As a result, these veins can\u2019t manage blood flow as well as they should, and it\u2019s harder for blood in your legs to return to your heart. CVI causes blood to pool in your leg veins, leading to high pressure in those veins.&#8221;<\/p>\n<div id=\"mntl-sc-block_18-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-adslot mntl-block\"><\/div>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_19-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\">CVI is common, affecting about one in 20 adults, according to the Cleveland Clinic. It can be caused by deep vein thrombosis (DVT) or any other changes to the veins that prevent them from working properly.
