Liman granted Lively&#8217;s request for a protective order, according to documents obtained by PEOPLE.<\/p>\n<div id=\"mntl-sc-block_5-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-adslot mntl-block\"><\/div>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_6-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\">Per the ruling, Lively, 37, must make arrangements for Baldoni&#8217;s legal team to have a dedicated computer and the ability to print and copy documents in a space chosen by the actress. Also, Baldoni&#8217;s team must notify Lively about exactly who will attend the deposition by midday July 15.<\/p>\n<div id=\"mntl-sc-block_7-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-adslot mntl-block\"><\/div>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_8-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\">The decision follows Lively&#8217;s request for a protective order directing defendants to take her\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/blake-lively-deposition-date-revealed-justin-baldoni-case-11767466\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-type=\"internalLink\" data-ordinal=\"1\">upcoming deposition on Thursday, July 17<\/a>,\u00a0at a redacted location. They also requested that everyone attending the hearing be identified in advance.<\/p>\n<div id=\"mntl-sc-block_9-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-adslot mntl-block\"><\/div>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_10-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\">Following the motion, lawyers for Baldoni, 41, <a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/justin-baldoni-responds-to-blake-lively-request-for-protective-order-deposition-11771449\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-type=\"internalLink\" data-ordinal=\"1\">addressed Liman<\/a> in a letter dated July 13, writing that he and his legal team opposed Lively\u2019s motion, arguing that she was using her \u201ccelebrity status\u201d to dictate and control the deposition &#8220;at a location of her choosing.&#8221;<\/p>\n<div id=\"mntl-sc-block_11-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-adslot mntl-block\"><\/div>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_12-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\">&#8220;Lively is a plaintiff who has hurled serious allegations of misconduct against the Wayfarer Parties,&#8221; the letter continued. &#8220;Like all defendants, the Wayfarer Parties are entitled to depose Lively to develop evidence crucial to their defense. His counterclaims against Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds, which involve allegations of extortion and defamation, were dismissed by Judge Liman, and his legal team opted not to refile amended versions of those claims.<\/p>\n<p>Their trial is set for March 2026 in New York, and attorneys for both Lively and Baldoni have <a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/blake-lively-lawyer-speaks-out-actress-testify-justin-baldoni-trial-exclusive-11729937\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-type=\"internalLink\" data-ordinal=\"1\">indicated that they plan to testify during the proceedings<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div id=\"mntl-sc-block_16-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-adslot mntl-block\"><\/div>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_17-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\">Bryan Freedman, an attorney for Baldoni, has previously spoken about his plans for deposing Lively as they attempt to refute her allegations.<\/p>\n<div id=\"mntl-sc-block_18-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-adslot mntl-block\"><\/div>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_19-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\">Asked for his strategy on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tmz.com\/2025\/06\/10\/justin-baldoni-lawyer-bryan-freedman-rips-blake-lively-false-victory-tour\/\" rel=\"nofollow\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-type=\"externalLink\" data-ordinal=\"1\"><em>TMZ Live<\/em><\/a>, Freedman said, &#8220;I&#8217;m gonna ask her questions under penalty of perjury, and she&#8217;s gonna have to provide evidence, and she&#8217;s gonna have to provide the truth of the stories. data-ordinal=\"1\">said in a fiery statement<\/a> back in May that they should sell tickets to Lively&#8217;s deposition for everyone to tune in. &#8220;Since Ms. Lively is open to testifying, let\u2019s make it count,\u201d he said at the time. \u201cHold the deposition at MSG, sell tickets or stream it, and donate every dollar to organizations helping victims of domestic
