But it does impact how I live my life daily,&#8221; Frost explained<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_2-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"><a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/where-is-supernanny-star-jo-frost-now-8776205\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-type=\"internalLink\" data-ordinal=\"1\">Jo Frost<\/a> is opening up about being diagnosed with a life-threatening health condition.<\/p>\n<div id=\"mntl-sc-block_3-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-adslot mntl-block\"><\/div>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_4-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\">In a recent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DL--O-fhSKD\/\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-type=\"externalLink\" data-ordinal=\"1\">Instagram<\/a> video, the star of the hit early-2000s ABC reality show <a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/parents\/supernanny-jo-frost-quarantine-tips-for-parents-kids-coronavirus-pandemic-exclusive\/\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-type=\"internalLink\" data-ordinal=\"2\"><em>Supernanny<\/em><\/a> revealed she has <a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/neffy-nasal-spray-needle-free-alternative-epipen-anaphylaxis-approved-fda-8694136\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-type=\"internalLink\" data-ordinal=\"3\">anaphylaxis<\/a>, as she urged others to be more compassionate toward those dealing with the condition.<\/p>\n<div id=\"mntl-sc-block_5-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-adslot mntl-block\"><\/div>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_6-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\">&#8220;I\u2019ve survived more anaphylactic shocks than I\u2019m prepared to go into detail about right now,&#8221; the 55-year-old shared in the clip.<\/p>\n<div id=\"mntl-sc-block_7-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-adslot mntl-block\"><\/div>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_8-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\">&#8220;I have anaphylaxis, a life-threatening medical condition to certain foods that will compromise my body so horrifically to the point of hospitalization,&#8221; she added.<\/p>\n<div id=\"mntl-sc-block_9-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-adslot mntl-block\"><\/div>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_10-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\">Per the <a href=\"https:\/\/my.clevelandclinic.org\/health\/diseases\/8619-anaphylaxis\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-type=\"externalLink\" data-ordinal=\"1\">Cleveland Clinic<\/a>, &#8220;Anaphylaxis is when you have a severe allergic reaction. Most commonly, it happens after you eat certain foods or get stung by an insect. If you ignore the severity of this medical condition, it\u2019s as bad as shoving a loaded gun in my face,&#8221; she continued, insisting that she&#8217;s &#8220;unapologetic&#8221; for her medical condition.<\/p>\n<div id=\"mntl-sc-block_17-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-adslot mntl-block\"><\/div>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_18-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\">&#8220;I did not ask for it, and it does not define who I am and the impact that I make in the world daily,&#8221; she said. &#8220;But it does impact how I live my life daily, like the precautions I take, the energy I have to use to discern with hypervigilance.&#8221;<\/p>\n<div id=\"mntl-sc-block_19-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-adslot mntl-block\"><\/div>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_20-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\">She criticized those in restaurants who might not pay enough attention to her condition, as well as things such as the &#8220;it may contain&#8221; labels on food.<\/p>\n<div id=\"mntl-sc-block_21-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-adslot mntl-block\"><\/div>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_22-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\">&#8220;By the way, I speak on behalf of those who also have celiac disease, too, because we are all not faddy eaters.
