A grieving Texas mother whose 8-year-old daughter died when\u00a0catastrophic flash floods<\/a>\u00a0ripped through Camp Mystic is desperately seeking the return of her child\u2019s cherished stuffed toy.<\/p>\n

Stacy Stevens, whose daughter Mary Barrett Stevens was among the 27 killed when tragedy struck the\u00a0all-girls Christian camp<\/a>\u00a0on July 4, said the youngster\u2019s beloved brown monkey was swept away in the deadly floodwaters.<\/p>\n

\u201cLooking for my daughter\u2019s monkey that she has had her whole life and took with her to camp,\u201d Stevens\u00a0wrote Tuesday in a since-deleted public post in a Facebook group<\/a>\u00a0focused on recovering lost items from the Guadalupe River.<\/p>\n
