Jesse Watters joined a growing chorus of conservative voices scrutinizing the Trump administration’s bungled handling of the ‘Epstein files.’<\/p>\n

The Fox News<\/a> host said that ‘nobody believes’ the White House<\/a>‘s memo this week that insisted Jeffrey Epstein<\/a> had no long-suspected ‘client list’ and that his mysterious death in 2019 was a suicide.<\/p>\n

‘Like where did this guy go? Where did that whole case go? Where did all the files go? They just went nowhere? No one even believes that,’ Watters said.<\/p>\n

Trump had previously fueled conspiracies surrounding Epstein and vowed to release all documents related to his expansive sex trafficking ring during the 2024 presidential campaign.<\/p>\n

But\u00a0Watters said <\/span>conservatives<\/a> have now been left disappointed as Trump’s Attorney General Pam Bondi said the case against Epstein is now closed.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He cited the U-turn as he warned viewers not to get their hopes up for a new investigation the Trump administration opened this week into\u00a0ex-CIA Director John Brennan and ex-FBI Director James Comey.<\/p>\n

The investigations are ostensibly a look into Trump’s alleged ties to Russia in the 2016 election, however even diehard MAGA supporters said the announcement appeared to be an attempted distraction from <\/a>the ‘Epstein files’ debacle.<\/p>\n

‘You saw what happened with Epstein. You know, you get your hopes up and then all of a sudden, poof, everything disappears, so the Justice Department and the FBI have a lot riding on these prosecutions,’ Watters said.<\/p>\n

Watters’ break from Trump saw him join a growing number of former ardent supporters of the president to slam the White House over the bungled ‘Epstein files’ release<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Watters went on to compare the White House’s attempt to sweep the controversy surrounding Epstein under the rug to other recent conspiracy-theory fueled incidents, including the 2017 Mandalay Bay hotel shooting in Las Vegas.<\/p>\n

He also cited the mysterious discovery of pipe bombs\u00a0outside the Democratic and Republican national headquarters before the January 6, 2021 riots, which remain unsolved.<\/p>\n

‘I’d like to see justice, but it’s like you get guys out there that say there’s this pipe bomb at the DNC and then like whatever happened to that? What about the Vegas shooter?’ he said.<\/p>\n

‘Remember how suspicious that whole thing was? Poof, that disappears.<\/p>\n

‘All of these things always come across and then they just disappear and it’s very frustrating for the American people.’<\/p>\n

On his show earlier this week, Tucker Carlson waded into the controversy as he said it was\u00a0‘obvious’ that<\/a> Bondi was ‘covering up crimes’.<\/p>\n

Carlson said he is not convinced that the president was covering his own alleged ties to Epstein, and felt the reason is to protect the US and Israeli intelligence services.<\/p>\n

‘I don’t think he’s that guy, actually,’ Carlson said of Trump. ‘I don’t think he likes creepy sex stuff.<\/p>\n

‘The only other explanation that I can think of… is that intel services are at the very center of this story, U.S. and Israeli, and they’re being protected,’ he said.<\/p>\n

Epstein’s brother Mark also slated Bondi’s assertion that his brother’s death in 2019 was a suicide, and said he ‘laughed at how stupid’ the<\/a> Trump administration’s handling of the scandal has been.<\/p>\n

The notorious pedophile’s brother told NewsNation’s Chris Cuomo on Tuesday that he was not convinced by the White House’s memo this week that said there is no evidence Epstein was murdered or kept a long-suspected ‘client list.’<\/p>\n

‘Every time they say something or do something to try to quash the fact that he was most likely murdered, they just put their foot further down their mouths,’ Mark Epstein said.<\/p>\n

He particularly singled out FBI Director Kash Patel for his role in the Epstein files’ release, noting how he U-turned from an ardent skeptic over Epstein’s death to now insisting there was no ‘cover up.’<\/p>\n

Mark pointed to Patel’s citing of his career as a prosecutor when he said that ‘you know a suicide when you see it’, despite Patel having no medical degree or qualifications as a forensic pathologist.<\/p>\n

‘The question that popped into my mind was, first of all, how many suicides has he seen? Is he a forensic pathologist? Does he have a medical degree?’ Mark questioned.<\/p>\n

‘Does he have a certificate that he passed a CPR course? Does he have a Boy Scout merit badge for first aid? What is he basing his expertise on?’<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
