Actor Michael Madsen, best known for his menacing roles in Quentin Tarantino films like “Reservoir Dogs” and “Kill Bill,” died Thursday, aged 67. According to the New York Times, Michael’s manager Ron Smith said he had died of cardiac arrest after he was found unresponsive at his Malibu home.<\/p>\n

The news of his passing<\/a>\u00a0has devastated his younger sister, Virginia Madsen, who also carved out a successful acting career. In a deeply personal statement to Variety, Virginia spoke about her brother’s complex nature with poetic precision.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

She\u00a0said<\/a>, “My brother Michael has left the stage. He was thunder and velvet. Mischief wrapped in tenderness. A poet disguised as an outlaw. A father, a son, a brother \u2014 etched in contradiction, tempered by love that left its mark.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
