Combs&#8217; attorneys had requested he be released on bail after he was convicted on lesser charges of transportation to engage in prostitution.<\/p>\n<div id=\"mntl-sc-block_7-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-adslot mntl-block\"><\/div>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_8-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"><a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/sean-diddy-combs-denied-bail-judge-rules-11761414\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-type=\"internalLink\" data-ordinal=\"1\">Judge Arun Subramanian declined to release Combs on bail<\/a>, saying applicable law made his detention mandatory. The judge also cited Combs&#8217; history of domestic violence in denying his release.<\/p>\n<div id=\"mntl-sc-block_9-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-adslot mntl-block\"><\/div>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_10-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\">Atkinson\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DLojaalsbYG\/?igsh=MWIxcnBib2F6bTg3bg%3D%3D\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-type=\"externalLink\" data-ordinal=\"1\">posted a series of videos to her Instagram account<\/a>\u00a0afterward, as well as a copy of a subpoena she had received in 2024 from the Southern District of New York, compelling her to testify before a grand jury in April 2024 in connection with Combs&#8217; case. Atkinson expressed her\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/diddy-split-verdict-trial-11761102\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-type=\"internalLink\" data-ordinal=\"2\">displeasure with the jury&#8217;s verdict<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div id=\"mntl-sc-block_14-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-adslot mntl-block\"><\/div>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_15-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\">In her letter addressed to Judge Subramanian and posted to her Instagram account, Atkinson wrote that she and others who were subpoenaed by federal prosecutors fear Combs will retaliate against them.<\/p>\n<div id=\"mntl-sc-block_16-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-adslot mntl-block\"><\/div>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_17-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\">&#8220;I&#8217;d like to express how terrifying this whole ordeal has been for me personally,&#8221; she wrote to the judge. &#8220;This past year and a half has been traumatizing. This verdict is devastating.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_21-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\">She added: &#8220;I fear for my safety upon his release.&#8221;<\/p>\n<div id=\"mntl-sc-block_22-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-adslot mntl-block\"><\/div>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_23-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\">Atkinson was among the government&#8217;s witnesses but did not testify at the trial. She said in her recent Instagram post that federal agents visited her home in March 2024, and she refused to speak with them because she was afraid. She was later subpoenaed, she said, and shortly thereafter, she said one of Combs&#8217; attorneys called and texted her. She posted a screenshot of a text message she said she received from the attorney, saying he was aware she had been contacted by law enforcement and asking whether she needed an attorney.<\/p>\n<div id=\"mntl-sc-block_24-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-adslot mntl-block\"><\/div>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_25-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\">She said that she was supposed to testify at Combs&#8217; trial on May 20 and was in New York, but claimed she was &#8220;pulled&#8221; because she &#8220;flipped out on the government.&#8221;<\/p>\n<div id=\"mntl-sc-block_26-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-adslot mntl-block\"><\/div>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_27-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\">Representatives for Combs and a spokesperson for the Southern District of New York did not immediately return requests for comment.<\/p>\n<div id=\"mntl-sc-block_28-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-adslot mntl-block\"><\/div>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_29-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\">&#8220;I want to be clear, as a victim, as a former employee of Sean Combs, I do not feel safe,&#8221; Atkinson said in one of the videos on her Instagram. &#8220;I am extremely traumatized.
