{"id":29815,"date":"2025-07-02T20:32:22","date_gmt":"2025-07-02T20:32:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/usdailys.com\/?p=29815"},"modified":"2025-07-02T20:32:22","modified_gmt":"2025-07-02T20:32:22","slug":"could-diddy-be-released-today","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/usdailys.com\/?p=29815","title":{"rendered":"Could Diddy Be Released Today?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<section id=\"cb-a956a8d6565784d961f541f6bd2cfda3\" class=\"canvas-block canvas-block-permalink canvas-text-block canvas-text-block-permalink \">Sean \u201cDiddy\u201d Combs has scored a major victory in his high-profile trial, but will he stay behind bars until his sentencing?<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"cb-d5f5508d73da8058de89b66e3cf6796c\" class=\"canvas-block canvas-block-permalink canvas-text-block canvas-text-block-permalink \">After more than two days of deliberations, the jurors found Combs not guilty on the most serious charges.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"cb-d973a436e628e876f3378edd1d3fc12c\" class=\"canvas-block canvas-block-permalink canvas-text-block canvas-text-block-permalink \">Combs was found guilty on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, but not guilty on the alleged racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"cb-792a4189d2e3f31e63dea685022bc258\" class=\"canvas-block canvas-block-permalink canvas-text-block canvas-text-block-permalink \">Following the verdict, Diddy&#8217;s lawyer Marc Agnifilo asked Judge Arun Subramanian for Diddy&#8217;s release.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"cb-410939543bcf3b349e66097694a0104b\" class=\"canvas-block canvas-block-permalink canvas-text-block canvas-text-block-permalink \">\u201cMy proposal would be that he be released today, that he be permitted to live at his home in Florida,&#8221; Agnifilo said. &#8220;It would be a bond of whatever size your honor sees fit, maybe $1 million?&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"cb-e024a01c682e42287dc4a1a512fab5ff\" class=\"canvas-block canvas-block-permalink canvas-text-block canvas-text-block-permalink \">The prosecution, however, asked that Diddy remain behind bars.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"cb-17fccb80dd9cb71c100028f404487b2c\" class=\"canvas-block canvas-block-permalink canvas-text-block canvas-text-block-permalink \">The judge has set a bail hearing for 5 p.m. E.T.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"cb-107ca68f7cbc925791e231ecd7cf7eec\" class=\"canvas-block canvas-block-permalink canvas-text-block canvas-text-block-permalink \">That same day, Diddy&#8217;s ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura also sent a letter, asking the judge to reject the release request claiming that the rapper is &#8220;likely to pose a danger to the victims who testified in this case.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"cb-892daa69beafb5a465edbfdaade67db7\" class=\"canvas-block canvas-block-permalink canvas-text-block canvas-text-block-permalink \">Stylist Deonte Nash, who testified in the trial, also opposed Diddy&#8217;s release. In a letter submitted by prosecutors, Nash said, &#8220;Many of us have firsthand knowledge of the fear he instills in those around him. I can say without hesitation that he is a serious and immediate threat to victims, witnesses, and the broader community. His pattern of violence\u2014particularly while engaged in the trafficking of individuals for prostitution\u2014combined with unchecked substance abuse, makes it clear that he is not ready to re-enter society safely or responsibly.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"cb-387052771946f7db93e677b8ce673a5c\" class=\"canvas-block canvas-block-permalink canvas-text-block canvas-text-block-permalink canvas-block-is-last \">Diddy now faces a maximum of 20 years in prison, as each count he was found guilty of carries a maximum 10-year sentence.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; &nbsp; Sean \u201cDiddy\u201d Combs has scored a major victory in his high-profile trial, but will he stay behind bars until his sentencing?
