Boxing legend Mike Tyson is among a fleet of star athletes and entertainers behind the push for cannabis reform, urging President\u00a0Donald Trump\u00a0to deliver on a \u201cfailed\u201d pledge from former President Joe Biden to \u201caddress marijuana-related injustices.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cCannabis is in the same category as heroin. How do you categorize it with heroin?\u00a0Anybody that would smoke cannabis\u00a0<\/a>knows there\u2019s no comparison, and that\u2019s just ridiculous,\u201d Tyson told the \u201cFox & Friends\u201d hosts on Monday.<\/p>\n

The \u201cCoalition of Athletes and Entertainers Supporting President Trump\u2019s Policy Objectives,\u201d which also includes NBA star Kevin Durant and former NFL star Dez Bryant, penned a letter to the White House to plead their case.<\/p>\n

The letter highlighted three main points in their proposed reform: clemency for \u201cnonviolent\u201d marijuana offenses, support for marijuana rescheduling, or, in other words, changing its current classification as a Schedule I substance to a Schedule III substance, and ending \u201cdiscriminatory banking practices.\u201d<\/p>\n
