Jurors reached a partial verdict in Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ sex-trafficking trial on four out of five counts – two sex trafficking charges and two for transportation to engage in prostitution.<\/p>\n

They could not agree on count one, which was the racketing and conspiracy charge.<\/p>\n

This charge alone carries the maximum sentence and could see P Diddy spend the rest of his life in prison<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A note passed to the judge stated: \u201cWe have not reached a verdict on count one because we have unpersuadable jurors on both sides.\u201d<\/p>\n

The defence and prosecution both asked the Judge for the jury to continue deliberations and reach a verdict in a trial that has lasted more than a month, delivering some harrowing testimony.<\/a><\/p>\n

In the closing arguments prosecutor Christy Slavik told jurors: “The defendant [Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs<\/a>] used power, violence and fear to get what he wanted,”<\/p>\n

“He thought that his fame, wealth and power put him above the law.”<\/p>\n

Diddy’s<\/a> defense lawyer Marc Agnifilo however claimed Diddy was facing a ‘fake trial’ and that prosecutors had ‘badly exaggerated’ evidence of Combs’ lifestyle.<\/p>\n

He claimed to the court that Diddy and Cassie Ventura<\/a> had a “loving, beautiful relationship”, though during the trial she gave testimony saying he forced her to take part in ‘freak offs’ and jurors were shown a video of Combs<\/a> assaulting her in a hotel.<\/p>\n

The jury will continue deliberations tomorrow until a verdict can be reached, with deliberations potentially continuing on Thursday when the court is meant to be closed.<\/p>\n

The news means that a conclusion is close in the high-profile trial, one which could put Diddy behind bars for life if he is found guilty on all counts.<\/p>\n

The rapper and producer continues to deny all charges.<\/p>\n

Diddy is accused of hosting ‘freak-off’ parties in which he would supposedly engage in bizarre sexual rituals as part of drug fuelled rituals.<\/p>\n

He reportedly used his fame and power to intimidate others into engaging in sexual acts they did not want to do.<\/p>\n

This included two ex-girlfriends and multiple employees of his, including one assistant who accused the music mogul of rape.<\/p>\n

His defence team conceded that he ‘had a temper’ but maintained that he had not forced anyone to engage in sexual acts again their will.<\/p>\n

The trial saw several high profile faces appear to testify against Diddy, including rapper Kid Cudi<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He stated that, due to a brief relationship with Cassie Ventura, Diddy had firebombed his car.<\/p>\n

Ventura claimed during testimony that, when he learned of this relationship, the music mogul had placed a wine opener between his fingers and ‘lunged’ at her.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
