Donald Trump is no stranger to a conspiracy theory, and it seems like each week, the internet thinks up a new wild claim about the American President.<\/p>\n

However, the latest theory to sweep social media may be the craziest one yet – and it\u2019s bringing back the idea of a body double, so buckle in.<\/p>\n

It comes after\u00a0Trump\u2019s<\/a>\u00a0wife\u00a0Melania<\/a>\u00a0has been the centre of a\u00a0years-long outlandish conspiracy\u00a0<\/a>that she gets \u2018swapped out for a body double\u2019 for public appearances.<\/p>\n

Online sleuths claim an\u00a0‘actress’<\/a>\u00a0was hired to play the 55-year-old during some\u00a0official engagements<\/a>\u00a0because she no longer wishes to be seen in the open with her other-half, while others believe she’s been ‘swapped out’ for safety reasons.<\/p>\n

Wearing large sunglasses to hide her face and claims of changes in physical appearance are just some of the reasons the \u2018fake Melania\u2019 conspirators have pulled together.<\/p>\n

And now, it seems her other half is now on their radar too.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday (24 June) Trump\u00a0attended a NATO summit\u00a0<\/a>in The Hague, alongside other\u00a0world leaders.<\/a><\/p>\n

Before sitting down for a formal dinner, the attendees gathered for a big group photo with King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands. But eagle-eyed\u00a0social media<\/a>\u00a0users have spotted an unusual detail when it comes to the American President\u2019s appearance in the snap.<\/p>\n

Someone on X (formerly\u00a0Twitter<\/a>) pointed out that Trump looks shorter than usual and sparked the theory that a body double, or \u2018mini Trump,\u2019 had been sent in his place.<\/p>\n

Yes, you read that right.<\/p>\n

The social media user penned: \u201cPOTUS sends ‘mini-TRUMP’ to The Hague to meet ‘suited’\u00a0Zelenskyy<\/a>\u00a0& friends\u201d – and some of the replies already seem to be convinced.<\/p>\n

The conspiracy stems from Trump’s appearance at a NATO summit in The Hague (C-Span)<\/cite><\/div>\n

Someone wrote: \u201cThat… that is not Trump,\u201d with another agreeing: \u201cI\u2019ve never seen him smile like that\u201d.<\/p>\n

Delving deep into the bizarre conspiracy, another person chimed in with: \u201cHe\u2019s only 3” shorter than DJT.\u201d<\/p>\n

They added: \u201cIf they didn\u2019t want it to be obvious to us (and to whoever was planning on trying to take him out at the NATO meeting), they would\u2019ve had him wear lifts\u2026 and they would\u2019ve probably been looking for another body double now.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is really easy to dig into if people only took the time to check it out\u2026,\u201d quipped another believer.<\/p>\n

Someone else tweeted: \u201cIt\u2019s funny you posted this. When I saw a video from earlier today I was wondering why he was so much shorter.\u201d<\/p>\n

And another wrote: \u201cI had just watched the video and it was immediately obvious.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, of course, not everyone is on board with the odd sentiment, and others have flocked to the post to shut down the theory.<\/p>\n

One person pointed out that \u2018he\u2019s standing next to tall dudes\u2019, as the Netherlands monarch to his right and other leaders in the picture are known to be quite tall.<\/p>\n
