Benjamin Netanyahu<\/a><\/span>\u00a0today declared ‘no one is immune’ from an\u00a0Israeli<\/a><\/span>\u00a0attack after his defence minister insisted\u00a0Iran<\/a><\/span>‘s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei ‘can no longer be allowed to exist’.<\/p>\n

Israel<\/a><\/span>‘s Prime Minister was asked about remarks made by Israel Katz who accused Khamenei of personally ordering an Iranian attack on a hospital in southern Israel this morning in a salvo targeting several Israeli cities.<\/p>\n

Speaking during a tour of the damaged Soroka Hospital in Beersheba, Netanyahu said: ‘I gave instructions that no one is immune. I prefer not to deal with headlines and to let actions speak for themselves.’<\/p>\n

Meanwhile\u00a0Donald Trump<\/a><\/span>\u00a0has reportedly asked his military advisers if bunker buster bombs would help destroy Iran’s underground nuclear facilities after he reportedly approved plans to launch an attack.<\/p>\n

Israel’s defence minister Israel Katz has said Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei ‘can no longer be allowed to exist’.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Speaking in Holon, one of the Israeli cities bombarded with Iranian missiles earlier today, Katz is said to have described Khamenei as a ‘modern Hitler’.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Katz said:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

A dictator like Khamenei, who heads a country like Iran and has made the destruction of the State of Israel his declared goal, this horrific goal of destroying Israel, cannot be allowed to continue or materialise<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n

\n

I compare it to the scenario in which, during the horrific Holocaust, if the State of Israel had existed and a strong Israel Defense Forces had existed, and we knew we could send the IDF into a bunker to capture the enemy of the Jewish people, Hitler, in order to thwart his plan to annihilate the Jews, we would have done it.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n

\n

We would have sent the IDF, extracted him, and eliminated him. And just like that, correspondingly, I see the current situation \u2014 Khamenei is the modern Hitler.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n

Katz continued:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

This is a man who has stood at the head of a powerful nation for decades and has great ideological influence. He uses it and openly says he supports the destruction of Israel. He mobilizes all available resources, even at the expense of his own people, for this purpose. And today we see proof that he is personally giving the order to fire on hospitals and residential buildings. These [repeated missiles strikes on civilian targets] are not a statistical deviation that can be explained away \u2014 he sees this as part of the mission to destroy the State of Israel.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n

Katz previously said Khamenei could face a similar fate to former Iraqi president Saddam Hussein who was executed after his government was ovethrown in 2003.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The IDF has said Iran launched a ballistic missile carrying a cluster bomb towards Israel today.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Cluster munitions are a type of weapon which disperses large numbers of tiny bomblets from a rocket, missile or artillery shell that scatters them in mid-flight over a wide area.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

They are intended to explode on impact but some don’t initially before detonating at a later date after being disturbed.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

According to the IDF, the missile’s warhead split while descending and spread around 20 smaller munitions in a radius of around 8km.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

one small munition struck a home in the central town of Azor, causing some damage.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
