Donald Trump has issued another statement to Iran amid the ongoing conflict with Israel, which saw both parties bomb each other for days.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Tensions between Israel and\u00a0Iran<\/a>\u00a0have reached new heights, with both exchanging missile attacks in the last week.<\/p>\n

Israel<\/a>\u2019s surprise bombing of Iran\u2019s nuclear and military facilities set things into motion, with Iran releasing retaliatory strikes on Tel Aviv just hours later.<\/p>\n

After Iran returned fire on Israel,\u00a0Trump<\/a>\u00a0took to Truth Social on Monday (June 16) to comment that Iran needed to sign a new nuclear agreement deal, or else.<\/p>\n

The president has been vocal in his want for a nuclear deal with the group of world powers known as the P5+1 – which includes the\u00a0US<\/a>, UK, Germany, France,\u00a0China<\/a>, and\u00a0Russia<\/a>, who’ve been in negotiation with Iran regarding its nuclear program since 2006.<\/p>\n

In his latest post on the matter, Trump warned Iran: \u201cIran should have signed the ‘deal’ I told them to sign. What a shame, and waste of human life. Simply stated, IRAN CAN NOT HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON.<\/p>\n

“I said it over and over again! Everyone should immediately evacuate Tehran!\u201d<\/p>\n

This has all come around at the time of this year\u2019s G7 meeting, held in\u00a0Canada<\/a>, where Trump left the meeting a day early to return to DC.<\/p>\n

At the time, French President Emmanuel Macron said that he had left to help foster a ceasefire between Israel and Iran. However, Trump turned to\u00a0social media<\/a>\u00a0to dispute this.<\/p>\n

In the wake of this, Iran attacked Israel again in the early hours of Monday (June 16), and damaged the US embassy in the country.<\/p>\n

The US Ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, confirmed the embassy had suffered ‘minor damage’, stating: “Some minor damage from concussions of Iranian missile hits near Embassy Branch… but no injuries to US personnel.”<\/p>\n

Soon after, it was reported that the US aircraft carrier USS Nimitz is heading towards the Middle East as\u00a0Trump warned of further destruction<\/a>\u00a0if no resolution is found.<\/p>\n

Explaining that\u00a0the US was not explicitly involved in Israel\u2019s initial attack<\/a>, Trump said they would not be kind on retaliation.<\/p>\n

But in a major update today (June 17), Trump again expressed his thoughts on the situation between Iran and Israel, stating that he has not reached out to the former and had they chosen to take him up on his first offer, there would not be as many people dead.<\/p>\n

He wrote: \u201cI have not reached out to Iran for ‘Peace Talks’ in any way, shape, or form.<\/p>\n
