People have learnt a bit about Elon Musk’s family, in particular his father, and they’ve taken to social media to share their thoughts.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It’s been a wild ride for\u00a0Musk<\/a>\u00a0lately, as he became a part of\u00a0Donald Trump’s<\/a>\u00a0administration as head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE)\u00a0before his recent departure<\/a>\u00a0before getting locked into\u00a0a fierce feud<\/a>\u00a0with Trump soon after.<\/p>\n

Musk kicked it off by firstly criticising the 78-year-old’s ‘big beautiful bill’ by\u00a0calling it a ‘disgusting abomination’,<\/a>\u00a0then later accused the US President of\u00a0being named in the Jeffrey Epstein files<\/a>; however,\u00a0he has since taken this back.<\/a><\/p>\n

Amidst all this, it came to the internet’s attention that the Tesla CEO’s 79-year-old father, Errol Musk, has two children with his former stepdaughter, Jana Bezuidenhout, 37, in 2017 and 2019.<\/p>\n

Errol had previously been married to Jana’s mother, Heide, in the 1990s, when Jana was 4 years old, and the two split in 2010.<\/p>\n

Seven years later, when Jana was 30, she and Errol began a romantic relationship after ‘reconnecting’ following her breakup at the time, with the South African businessman\u00a0telling<\/a>\u00a0The Times: “We were lonely, lost people. One thing led to another \u2014 you can call it God’s plan or nature’s plan.”<\/p>\n

An\u00a0X<\/a>\u00a0account mentioned this, adding: “When I learned this against my will it f****d me up for at least a week.”<\/p>\n

They added: “To make it worse, Elon\u2019s father also had 2 biological children with his ex wife, who is his ex step daughter, now baby momma\u2019s, mother.”<\/p>\n

And others couldn’t believe it, as one person wrote: “Disgusting.”<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, some were left confused by the family dynamic as another wrote: “Wait ima tryna do the math, can someone draw me a family tree.”<\/p>\n

Mr Musk has spoken in numerous interviews about his relationship with Jana, saying that he did not consider her to be his stepdaughter because she mainly grew up away from the family (via<\/a>\u00a0People).<\/p>\n

Mr Musk also revealed in an interview with The Sun in 2022 that they no longer live together and have separated, citing the 42-year age gap as the reason for the split.<\/p>\n

He explained (via<\/a>\u00a0The Independent): “It\u2019s not practical. She\u2019s 35. Eventually if I\u2019m still around, she might wind up back with me.”<\/p>\n

He added that they’ll still ‘have a lot of affection for each other’.<\/p>\n

“So any man who marries a woman, even if you feel very sprightly, it\u2019s going to be nice for a while. But there\u2019s a big gap\u2026 And that gap is going to show itself.” Errol continued.<\/p>\n

As for what his two children with Heide think about the situation, he said they ‘still don\u2019t like it,’ adding: “They still feel a bit creepy about it, because she\u2019s their sister. Their half-sister.”<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Musk has previously made his feelings clear about his father, as in a 2017 interview with Rolling Stone, he called him a ‘terrible human being’.<\/p>\n

“You have no idea.” he\u00a0told<\/a>\u00a0the publication at the time.<\/p>\n
