A Trump official has left people in disbelief after he ‘accidentally’ made a shocking admission about the moon landing.<\/p>\n

This happened when US Army Secretary Dan Driscoll appeared on TV to promote the Army\u2019s upcoming 250th anniversary parade which will take place tomorrow (June 14) in Washington DC.<\/p>\n

Speaking in a live broadcast to\u00a0Fox News<\/em>, Driscoll made a comment that there was a US soldier stationed on the\u00a0moon<\/a> as he listed the various missions that the Army undertakes.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cThe country gets to see all of the amazing things that the Army has done, whether it\u2019s helping with floods in North Carolina, or wildfires in California, or we talked to an astronaut yesterday who\u2019s on the moon, who\u2019s a soldier.\u201d<\/p>\n

This caused quite a stir on\u00a0social media<\/a>, with some speculating whether the official had accidentally revealed top secret information.<\/p>\n

Taking to X, formerly\u00a0Twitter<\/a>, one user wrote: \u201cDid he just slip up? Is it more Pentagon disinformation? That is quite the statement to make.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another said: \u201cGreatest Freudian slip ever? \u2018Soldier on the moon\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n

And a third person added: \u201cWhat the hell did I just hear?\u201d<\/p>\n

Others questioned whether the US is secretly expanding its occupation in\u00a0space<\/a>.<\/p>\n

However, other users noted that Driscoll appeared to have accidentally said the moon instead of NASA\u2019s International Space Station (ISS) after he had previously spoken to Army Colonel Anne McClain, who is a\u00a0NASA<\/a>\u00a0astronaut currently stationed on the ISS.<\/p>\n

Speaking to her, Driscoll said: \u201cColonel, when I took this job, one of the things everybody told me was, \u2018you will not believe the number of things that the US Army and its soldiers do\u2019.<\/p>\n

President Donald Trump<\/a>\u00a0has also spoken about the upcoming parade, saying to the press: \u201cIt\u2019s going to be a parade, the likes of which, I don\u2019t know if we\u2019ve ever had a parade like that. It\u2019s going to be incredible.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have air, even though it\u2019s the Army, we have a lot of those Army airplanes flying over the top, and we have tanks all over the place, and we have thousands and thousands of soldiers going to bravely march down the streets. It\u2019s going to be a beautiful day, I think.\u201d<\/p>\n
